Tom! Like the lesson, been playing this song for many years, learned it from watching the video of Big Bill. On the turnaround he sticks to the A bass throughout until the end. Which could be technically wrong, not a music theorist but to the way he did it 😅

I learned this stuff at Sidcup Art School thanks to DICK Taylor (no not mick), and keef was no help! He'd turn into the corner so you couldn't see what he was doing. Hahaha! But Dick (Stones and Pretty Things) was so generous with his knowledge and technique.

Martin 0-18 with fossil walrus ivory saddle and fossil walrus jawbone bridge pins. I use Ernie Ball Earthwood phosphor bronze. 11-.52. On my Martin D15-M I have bone saddle and Buffalo horn black bridge pins and same strings. I am just learning how to play the Blues. Years I have been playing level 4 classical, strumming Christian Contemporary, flatpicking bluegrass.

It's not impossible to hold a standard E chord and play the 2nd fret of the B string with one's pinky, but it's a lot easier to not hold down the 2nd fret of the A string and play the 2nd fret of the B string with your ring finger. Nice suggestion! Thanks!
