my purple pillar rose of sharon has self-seeded too ... but not to the extent that other rose of sharons do - i dont find seedlings all over - just a few over the 5 years that i have had this shrub flower.

Thank you! 😃 I actually just planted them Friday. They are helianthus annuus, just common sunflower. I don’t think they are actually dwarf, just shorter blooming from being in the pots at the nursery.
