I heard that the new lift was finally in operation, so I decided to go there to see if its an improvement over the old A2DG lift it replaced. This will be the final revisit of this block. Glad they didn't put in the typical wooden interior. Happy National Day! However this day might likely be the last time the C651 and C751B fleets would be in operation on National Day. So I decided to try and catch one of them and have a ride on them on this special day. I decided to trainspot there before exploring Northpoint Shopping Centre.

Nicely done animation. The Manila LRT-1 “Generation 1” is now seldomly being deployed on the main line. Though there are no news yet on the actual retirement of the Generation 1 trains. The Manila LRT-1 is now dominated by “Generation 4” trains. Sometimes you'd still see “Generation 3” trains up and running.
Thank you. I hope that some of the 1st gen trains can be preserved like some SG MRT trains here. Sadly, most of them are likely going to be scrapped. By the way, are the 2nd gen trains(1100 class) still running? Heard some of them are being stored.
@@lonun67 Oh well, the “Generation 2” trains are even more rarely seen used for passenger service on LRT-1. They are most likely to be deployed during test runs and when they are truly needed on the line for passenger service.
These trains have a troubled history due to lack of spare parts for them. I am surprised they didn't replace them together with the 1000 class trains with the new 13000 class trains considering the class only consists of 7 sets.
