This little sensor I found works really well in keeping our humvees operating at much cooler temperatures vs stock!

Just a walk around of my 1989 humvee that I restored, sold this truck about a year and a half ago. Was a good daily driver! I recently bought a 2005 m1097a2 that I will be restoring so expect more hmmwv content!

I've found better ideas for securing the fuel tank, adding rubber spacers/blocks on top of tank and then tightening the strap bolts will hold it firmly in place and wont require zip ties anymore. Also I was able to adjust the shifter enough for park to engage and lock the wheels, just takes a little time adjusting the shifter till it all works. transfer case shifter didn't need any adjustments ...

The Car we all want,
Where did you get the 160 deg thermostat?
In a previous video on my channel I go into detail about that and how to find it, check it out👍
Yeah, go and look for a video for hours, when he could have just told you. What a fucking liberal.
is it titled for road use!
Yes on road title👍
Price?

great looking truck looking to add a/c to my m1114 where did you get you a/c unit and what brand is it ?
It's from coldmasters in Tampa area, just google them, they have 24v diy systems, work great!
@@TheCoralSniper thank you
do you have any videos of building the center console that is very nice
I'm sorry I don't unfortunately
Anyone who tells you that the 6.2/6.5 runs at 220 or more are f*cking morons. Anything about 215 and your pistons are getting burned. Ideally the 6.5 should be running under 200. Take it from us H1 owners who have been dealing with this for decades. The military doesn't care about motor longevity. They just toss new motors in these things like we change our underwear. Put a 180 tstat in and change out the fan termperature switch to a 200 (OEM is a 220) and you'll be happy.
Mostl likely because they read and repeat the operator's manual where it specs 190-230*F normal operating temp.
Got a buyer? I'm interested
It's currently pending
alwaysed love. them hope you mad eit better for driving and riding from back in the day lol........
What year is it, is it still for sale and how much are you asking?
It's a 2005 and I'm asking $50k
Hey partner, I am highly interested and motivated. How would I contact you.
I really hope you’re still doing this in a few years. Would love to add a truck just like that to the garage alongside my H2 but have nowhere to put it at the moment.
How do I contact you
In the description of this video there is a link to my fb marketplace add or you can email me at coralsniper@gmail.com
Did you sell? How much? Contact me
How should I contact you If interested?
You can email me at coralsniper@gmail.com or just through Facebook Ben Carlson
Do you know of a bank that would finance?
I don't, I had someone else trying for that, you might be able to if you paid a portion with cash and finance a smaller amount?
Any bank will finance it as !omg as you have a 750 or better fico
Outstanding job!
Awesome truck and awesome work!
Didn’t it already sell?
No it's still available 👍
What type of paint did you use for the Humvee?
12volts or 24volts, for the same watts, the amps are so low that it really doesn't matter, because that switch only powers the fan relay coil, which is what really handles the fan circuit.
Nice V
where did you buy them ?
Fanclutchmasters.com
I thought you were going to show a homemade paradox coolkit.
I have seen those and studied it a bit, seems to have mixed opinions on if it helps or not. I just figured if I could lower the overall coolant temp it would help those rear cylinders out a bit! Plus these optimizer blocks are improved over the old chevy ones.
You should tack about the motor transmission replacement
This truck has the original 6.5 and 4 speed transmission, it's a 2005 M1097A2 all stock
@@TheCoralSniper so this is not same one in the beginning of you Videos
@@manniehalmagean5555 no it's not, it's my 2nd humvee, it looks so similar to my last that I can see people thinking it's the same! Obviously I have a favorite look for these trucks 😅
Beautiful
Looks amazing! What top did you use on this, and what center console is that?
I used a PlanB hard top and custom made the center console
wow the h2 wheels looks great on the humvee!
looks great. I hear these things are very slow and only do like 55 to 60MPH on the freeway.
Very common misconception, the old 3 speed humvess could reliably run upto 55mph ish but could be pushed closer to redline a fair bit faster (more like 65mph) These newer 4 speed trucks can do 70mph plus reliably. Also fuel economy is not as bad as rumors say, average 11 mpg
@@TheCoralSniper cool
Humvees are stylin'!!
A great one !!.. Nice job from Germany :)
Dude don't have a clue what he's talking about
Can you elaborate?
Did you body lift your humvee, cause I see the springs are oem, but it sits higher than an oem humvee
Yes I did, I always do a 3" body lift on my humvees, I made a video of what all is involved
Thank bud I’ll check them out :)
Hey Ben, Thanks for the great videos. I have a 1097A2 so anything you are doing on those I would be very interested in. I have my thermostat and fan switch inbound but please keep up the great videos on these! -Mike
Nice Job 😎👍!
I always wondered if a coolant radiator mounted on the roof would help with removing the heat from the engine bay and freeing up space for larger independant heat exchangers/ ac/ trans etc. up front.
I'm sure it would help very much! That angled radiator has a hard time dissipating heat especially at higher speeds! The red dot AC kits sometimes mounted the condensers on the roof like you are saying, they work very well I hear.
@@TheCoralSniper Rerouting the non engine coolant heat exchangers to the roof may be an option allowing a larger engine coolant radiator and I know the trans, Ac, engine oil and diffs etc would benefit from the extra cooling of a roof mounting instead.
Hey dude, nice Jeep! Are you interested in sponsorship for that vehicle?
Sure! Let me know what you are thinking👍
@@TheCoralSniper Great! How can we contact you for more details? It seems there are no other ways on your page.
Great video brother
Very impressive my man. I noticed you had some sound absorbing foam as a headliner. I need to do the same thing for mine - do you feel like it has helped at all? Where did you get it and how did you attach it?
I used acustic foam from Amazon, sprayed it with headliner adhesive, it helped a little, biggest help was that dog house add on i did, the more you can insulate between yourself and the engine the better for noise reduction
Love the industrial size blower and vents for the HVAC system!!! Instrumentation with pure analog gauges is top notch!!!👍👍👍
Love it ! ! !
This is awesome! Thank you, and I'm subbed!
I like all the detail. I see you have sound insulation on the dog house too. I bet the truck is quiet inside. We run ours hard off road. I wouldn’t be able to have the power distribution box there as it would get drenched with water and mud. What kind of adventures have you had with it so far?
The insulated dog house did the most for the engine noise, it was a bit much otherwise, I honestly didn't do very much adventuring with it as it was my daily driver, spent alot of time driving it but nothing extreme. I'm working on a new one now, will have the 12v Inverter inside the cab this time, also going to do a new style doghouse, will be posting videos soon!
@@TheCoralSniper looking forward to it.
Great looking truck. Lots of nice additions. I like the sound foam on the ceiling and the larger rear window.
Hey great video would you kind to tell me how did you do a legal street plate over your humvee? Thanks and keep doing great videos
Thanks! I actually bought it from someone who already got it street legal, but if your state is not giving you a plate you can always go with dirtlegal.com and they will get you a plate.
The rear steel curtain with the large window. Did you build it? Or can you share where you purchased it from?
I built it and had a custom peice of glass cut to fit
Jim all of your builds are outstanding! Appreciate the attention to detail. What wheel and tire combo do you like to use ? What is the offset they look perfect. Thank you from sunny Florida. I enjoy the videos
Thanks! This truck had h1 factory wheels, so stock offset, tires are 37s. I think with the 3" body lift it looks great, but I'm planning on running a little bigger tires on my next build 👍
I just stumbled accross this video, very clean build. Kinda strange my name is Benji Carlson but some call me Ben.
And you also like humvees?! Maybe we are twins!
@TheCoralSniper I went to a Christian elementary school growing up, there was another kid in my class Benji Carlson, how ironic is that...hehe.
it's hard to believe this many cutting and adjustments need to be done before you can lift the hmmwv
Nice what did you use for the interior insulation, you have a grey material and black. I need something like that gray one to stick and insulate
I bought these acoustic foam tiles from Amazon for the headliner, the floor and sides has adhesive neoprene sheets applied all around
Nice job man, where did you get the black rubber with the tread plate design (around the shifter) ?@@TheCoralSniper
@@davidsample2723 it's just rubber diamond plate, if you Google it you'll get a bunch of options, comes in a roll
Have you had any trouble with the acoustic foam turning loose from the roof? @@TheCoralSniper
@@davidsample2723 I sure did! I had to find a heat resistant adhesive and use lots of it to stop them from randomly dropping in the summer
