If Jadonang Malangmei and Rani Gaidinliu was born in Nagaland, they would have been reverred as the greatest revolutionaries of the Nagas and a great pride for the State.
We Nagas are Naga not Indian. Arunachal, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya some communities might be considered as Indians but Nagas are not Indian originally. We nagas are totally different from Indians in every area. Looks very different, food, culture, custom, way of thinking, way of living, dressingand everything is different. How it possible that we nagas are India? We were never under India only after the british left India PM Jawaharlal Nehru time in his leadership they forcefully tortured us and rape, murder our so many innocent people. All other North East people considered themselves as Indian but we Nagas never agree that we are Indians.

Yes, A.Z. Phizo was a Naga leader, freedom fighter of Naga freedom movement. Rani Gaidinliu is also a Naga Raj movement leader and successor of Jadonang Malangmei ( founder of Naga Raj movement).. She is the only Naga woman to have honored with the title "Rani" by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru( late, Prime Minister of India). She is also the only Naga woman to have received the prestigious awards, "Tamra Patra", & " Bharat Bibhusan" among others, in honor of her contribution in the freedom movement of India, against the British Raj..

It was worth for the France returnees though not for the cause of all Nagas back then, so regarding nationalism it's the Naga Club that provided much needed common platform for whole Nagas alike where crop of returnees were found not related to it's credit!
