Yet every day, broken guitar strings, drumsticks, saxophone reeds and so many other materials are thrown away. Sometimes, whole instruments like entire pianos, cellos and others end up in the landfills.
I pride myself on saving the memories of the music and the musicians who play it. Therefore, I reclaim old instrument string and pieces and after carefully cleaning them, I upcycle them into beautiful jewelry and gifts.

does the clamp end hold well? i want to make one but i want to make it to last a long time and the clamp doesn’t feel like it would last
Essentially it depends on the type of clasp used. There is more to it as well. It took alot if trial and error to get it just right. I guarantee my work when I sell them on my website doremibraceletsetc.ca

How did you get the metal components to stay in position? Glue? Great video BTW!
Thank-you. No glue. It's just a matter of size. The guitar string ballends I use are big enough to slide onto the chord but just barely. You want them to be a tight fit. Hope this helps.

How thick are ivory keys ? I would like to repurpose them for guitar bridge saddles
Typically the ivory key toppers I have seen are about 1mm thick.
Just disassembled a Hardman Piano that got started in 1876. I salvaged so much of the wood, a few of the strings and all the keys. I’m wanting to do the same thing as you!
