I’m so in love with
Couldn’t even finish the sentence my bad dogs
she refuses rhaenyra’s proposal for her disgust with in house marriages but marries halaena to aegon.
Olivia Cooke looks so beautiful as Alicent Hightower. I love her😍
Alicent is that one girl that preachs for good costume, chastity and modesty, and calls out and judges people based on those values, but secretly has a only fans account to make money.
She’s talking to Rhayneras previous affair partner about honor and decency😂😂
That's larys Strong not Harwin
Cool. They crowbarred in a black Targaryen... No wonder this show has flopped....
Sure...having a Black character with the same characteristics and personality, with only a change in skin tone, as their book counterparts....influenced how well the show is written?... It's the STORY not the anesthetics. Who needs this explained to them?
@@janellejulianajoy It's not canon and it's obvious pandering to the lowest common denominator in the country. Gender and race obsessed liberals, hellbent on crowbarring their woke gobbeldy gook into everything. There were no black Targaryens in the books. Period. It's ridiculous...
@@janellejulianajoy The story is told through moving PICTURES and the STORY, as written, has nothing to do with "PoC" or liberals' fetish with them. Targaryens are fair skinned and blonde. PERIOD.
The show didnt flopp... I think?
@@DemocratsRDemonshard cope 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Alicent’s stone cold disapproving face when she catches Aegon made me pause the show so I could laugh for five minutes.
Очень в тему в год дракона
She is no Cersei, she is a good woman but her sense of honor and justice is warped , In her quest to make sure that decency would prevail she caused the death of her children , her grandchildren, Rhaenyras children and extinction of dragons!
What decency? She's knowingly assisting in usurping Rhaenyra....a woman who has done absolutely nothing to her. Alicent knowingly married Viserys with the thought of placing Hightower blood on the iron throne. Rhaenyra was her best friend.....and she marries her besties father without her bestie knowing about any kind of relationship between the two?! If that isn't nasty, I don't know what is. That's decency? Cersei Lannister is leagues about Alicent because Cersei could at least be honest with herself. She knew who she was. Alicent hides behind decency and sacrifice without looking in the mirror and understanding she had her own part to play in this. All out of spite and jealousy, again, towards a best friend that has done absolutely NOTHING to her. She's a hypocritical religious zealot. No more. No less.
@@janellejulianajoy she's usurping the throne because the fear of losing her children because aegon has an undisputable claim by simply being the firstborn legitimate male even if he doesnt want the throne and considering that daemon's existing and aemond's losing his eye in driftmark and rhaenyra's children facing no consequences fuels her paranoia and you cant say she is wrong. even in the book she doesnt seize the throne for herself she crowns helaena with her own crown and bows to her. and she had no say for the marriage with viserys. just because viserys gave rhaenyra the golden privilege of choosing husband doesnt mean everyone have a say for theirs.
Yet Daemon never harmed any of her children. She ingrained the hatred her son's had for Rhaenyra and her children. Alicent has been the aggressor in this she and her side at the end of the day usurped Rhaenyra's crown murdered people whose only crime was to nor bow down to their power grab and her son murdered Rhaenyras son starting all the bloodshed that doomed them all and crippled the Targaryens for the rest of their existence. @@hazeinheaven
@@Argos-xb8ek yet he has the power to order a hit her children just like he did on 6 year old baby jaehaerys the only reason who stopped him doing that was viserys and with viserys' death there is no one to hold him accountable because he knows their reality and otto's speech on dragonstone bridge (telling the legitimacy belongs to aegon) made him so annoyed because otto was right. executing people who didnt bow down is justifiable in their point of view you cant just let the lords live after not bowing down otherwise they're gonna go the other side and declare for them. aemond's killing her son was justifiable to me you think why? because this was simply plotting against aegon's crown rather than ''thinking to give up or no'' by sending the envoy they chose to sway the lords for their interest and its called conspiracy. all they had to do was simply thinking about saying yes to bowing down or no.
@@hazeinheavenI’m assuming you’re referring to the Blood and Cheese incident. If so, it’s because Daemon declared “a son for a son” after Luke died, and prior to this, there wasn’t any indication in the books that Daemon wanted to harm the twins, or that Viserys stopped him. The show does a good job of portraying Alicent in a sympathetic light - you yourself mentioned that she was paranoid for her children. In the books, no indication of such paranoia existed to my recollection. There isn’t enough evidence to suggest Alicent didn’t crown Aegon due to greed. Regardless of motive, the catalyst for the Dance of the Dragons is still arguably her. If the dance didn’t start, Lucerys wouldn’t have died, and the Blood and Cheese incident most likely wouldn’t have occurred, and Aegon’s children may still have lived to adulthood.
I know she was basically in a loveless marriage and firced to breed out of duty but she did the same to her only daughter.
Her dress in this episode is my favorite look on her, I didn't like the fact that they shortened her hair after episode 7, her curly auburn locks were so beautiful.
Olivia Cooke was and is the perfect choice for the adult Alicent Hightower, just like Emma is the perfect choice for the adult Rhaenyra.
This is HER SONG. You cannot change my mind ❤️
Rhaenyra should have accepted Viserys and Jason's offer
Thanks for posting these Alicent clips she and Helaena are my favs from the show
2:29 Alicent is angry with Rhaenyra because in Westeros she (Alicent) was doing her duty and Rhaenyra never did. She was angry and sad, because her children were being dismissed by their own father. But when Cole insults Rhaenyra? Alicent is dissapointed with him. She's a spoiled girl, but don't use that tone about her. Before Luke took Aemond's eye, and Rhaenyra didn't demand her son to at leasr apology? That's when that friendship broke
Huh? Their friendship was tarnished the moment she walked into that pre-wedding celebration with the green dress on. Alicent was knowingly calling those boys bastards long before Aemond's eye was taken. There would be NO animosity between these kids if she hadn't filled their heads with hatred. Rhaenyra didn't reach her kids to hate or fear, but Alicent did. Alicent, Otto, etc, made Rhaenyra and her children's lives hell for years before she left and moved to dragonstone. Spreading rumors, etc. The heir apparent moved because the petty queen chose to remain in the bubble of misery her own father placed her in. She's mad because Rhaenyra made the best of her situation as she too didn't choose her own husband. Is it Rhaenyra's fault Otto chose to pimp his daughter off to a man who could never truly love her? I'm sorry...but I just cannot stomach this woman. I do agree with Alicent's reaction to Aemond losing an eye, (personally I would've slapped Luke) and an apology should've been given, however, that animosity is what she taught her own children to have.
Rhaenyra was told that her sons were attacked by Aemond, and she could see that they were also badly hurt, Aemond was a boy twice their age and size, and if he had tried to strangle a 5 year old, obviously they would need to defend themselves. From Rhaenyra's perspective, both the boys had harmed each other badly. Yes, a broken nose is as bad as a lost eye, the kid could probably breathe at half the normal capacity if it was severe. The damages were done and there was no point in apologizing. But Alicent was blinder than Aemond and attacked Lucerys, a 5 year old and would've killed him if Rhaenyra hadn't intercepted her attack.
@@fortheloveofcats2462A 5 year old boy. What kind of vicious person attacks someone first and then when he tries to to defend he cut out his eye. You say he is just a child. If he is vicious enough to cut out another person's eye then he is not a child. Him being 5 doesn't change anything
@@aishahamma334 Lucerys did not atrack Aemond for nothing. Aemond provoked and bullied his cousins, then when they didn't let him insult them, he beat them and broke Luke's nose, and then tried to strangle him. Aemond could've killed Luke if Jace hadn't brought out the knife. Aemond was the vicious person in this story, not the kid who was put in a situation where he was forced to defend himself
@@fortheloveofcats2462He bullied them. Really did you even watch the scene. They started the fight 4 on 1 person .Aemond was the one who was defending himself. He didn't insult anyone
I can honestly 100% see Alicents POV , she has three full grown sons that should inherit. But inheritance can be unfair , its how monarchy works- Viserys rightly or wrongly chose Rhaenyra as his heir. Royal bastards have often taken the crown in British and world history- its often a case of fight over right. 🤷♀️
He also chose Rhaenyra long before Alicent even had her first child.
she was a terrible mother she accused justified prompt up and hide the transgressions of her children till an entire family eat in on itself taking chunks of the kingdom they worked so hard to get
Olivia Cookie is such a beautiful, adorable and sexy woman. She’s a really talented actress too. She was a great choice for Alicent HighTower. Nobody else could’ve done this role like her. You hate her so much but you also don’t blame her for why she did what she did to protect her kids.
What was Rhaenyra supposed to do😭😭 rape her husband?? The man she was forced to marry was gay, she even admitted they tried to concieve legitimate children but couldn't.
And Harwin wasn't even a commoner, house Strong was considered a noble and important household. Rhaenyra'children are as noble in blood as Alice's, and just as much targaryen
Aegon is such a disgusting prick. Such a beautiful name wasted
Team Black: Alicent is such a evil person!! Alicent: "Reluctance for murder is not a weakness".
I love this line so much
The thing is that my allegiance is to the heir. Thus i am on rhaenyra’s side for her claim. Other than that, alicent did what she could and i would even argue she would be a good fit for the iron throne. Considering aegon didn’t want it, aemond was too ambitious like daemon, and she went through too much to just hand it over to rhaenyra. Greens did alot better than rhaenyra in asserting their claim. She alienated the other lords when they offered marriage to her and she was very irresponsible to not heed the advice of her father nor her aunt. She is in the position to strengthen her house and she still acts of her own desire.
@@BlackDiamond2718 Its nice to encounter team black members that aren’t full on hating Alicent for ridiculous reasons.
@@notyetawomen5257 trust me i did the first time. As i did in game of thrones, i was about how i processed everything at first sight. Takes a few times and people like yourself to see it more closely. I am upset about her marrying her friend’s father but of course it wasn’t a choice.
She’s not evil, she’s a spiteful and idiotic hypocrite that resents her stepdaughter for having a better life than she did (something she brought upon herself).
“You may do as you wish, husband, when I am cold in my grave.“ First of all very presumptuous of her to assume it’s her word over his since he’s king. Secondly, she’s lucky Viserys was nothing like Maegor otherwise she would’ve been cold in her grave very quickly.
lol
I love Alicent…. She is a good queen
The Greens = Liars and betrayers
Awful other who poisoned her children minds
Literally the Aemond eye situation showed her and her children that her children are in danger with rhaenyra snd her children
Notice how Helaena is scared of her mother
I don’t think she’s scared, I think she’s autistic and doesn’t like touch.
@@alicenthightower5301thought it was like the instinct of a pet that dislikes a person at first contact. She feels uncomfortable with her but tbh idk.
I'm autistic and I do not like unexpected touching. I can't compute it. It makes me feel weird.
@@Voidwurm1701 Being autistic might be a reason; it also might not be a reason. There are people, who aren't autistic and don't want to be touched either.

She has always been jealous of Rhaenyra and it shows😂😂😂. What a petty b1tch. She should just stick to her feet fetish.
Criston: *A SPOILED CUNT* Alicen: *Bruh*
this is legit of alicent
Team Black: "Alicent is an evil, manipulative schemer who does nothing but torment Rhaenyra and her children!" Alicent: "Lean forward." (props up pillow so Viserys can sit comfortably)
Also Alicent: Makes Rhaenyra come to her chambers right after giving birth. Please don't tell me that she is not evil.
She's not evil, and she didn't make Rhaenyra come to her chambers, Rhaenyra did that on her own. Alicent only asked to see the baby.
@@jordanhowe188 Was she supposed to hand over her newborn baby to that feet queen so that she can see him??? If she wanted to see Joffrey she could have come to Nyra's chambers.
@@jordanhowe188 let's not forget that in exchange for her feet she asked Larys to burn the servants. She also taunted and bullied rhae for 10 years. It's like you watched the show through tiktok.
@@bleedingstar0398 It was actually common to present the child to the queen and king. Though of course the mother wouldn't bring them. And especially when there is suspicion of the child being illegitimate or that it could be exchanged, then it is done directly after birth. I understand Rhaenyra didn't want to be separated from her child. I would have answered, the princess is too exhausted to bring the child, but eagerly awaiting the queen in her quaters. Problem solved. 🤷♀️
That’s a hell of a work, I admire the effort!👍
Olivia Cooke is amazing
Olivia Cooke and Paddy are such gifted actors. I forgot it was fiction but, real life royals from the medieval era. If they make 3d version then people will feel as if there's teleported to that place and era.
How people even dare to say that Alicent seduced Viserys? How tf does a teenage girl seduces a grown ass man by having normal conversations, being kind and asking him about his stupid toys?
She was prompted by her family to win him over, as is the history of europe which heavily influenced george rr martin.
Because the book says so XD
@@juniorsworld309 In the books, she is not a teenager when Viserys chooses her as his queen.

I think in a lot of ways Alicent did truly care for and love Viserys just not in a husband way. Viserys essentially kept her safe for years from her own father and he was never purposefully cruel to her. With V gone she realised that she was going to have to play a very complicated game to get her son on the throne and she didn’t want that.
I dont think so, she poisoned him …
@@joel-cx7hm is that actually confirmed or just rumoured?
@@ThursdaysChild770 I think it's just a rumor. I think book Alicent maybe did, but show Alicent never did. If anyone poisoned Viserys, it was Otto and the Maesters.
@@rachelwilson2872 yeah that was my thinking.

"Wheres duty? Wheres sacrifice?"

Without a doubt, the choice of Oliva Cooke as an adult Alicent was a huge success, for me the best actress in the cast.
