If overturned, does he lead a better life path? Maybe. Not guaranteed, perhaps delaying the inevitable. But maybe it doesn't....maybe in that moment Lip could've really turned it around and actually have gotten out and lead a more successful life. I know it's just a TV show, but it makes you think. Major points in our lives are not dissimilar to what we see happen to Lip in this scene. Moments that ultimately decide where we'll end up...or not end up for that matter.
