Nice explanation Kent. The booklet is carp! Just got one of these in the UK. Thanks for your time and effort.
Very good video
Awesome mate. Pleased it was useful.thanks for the comment.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 doesn't explain anywhere, how to freeze the screen !!! Which made the whole scope useless. Well explained thanks again
is this truck gonna be road legal or a full time offroader? looks good cant wait to see the finished product
Na offroad only for this one.
are thos 37s?
Yeah buddy. Journey claws.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 where'd ya get them from? I'm wanting some 33s for my surf
@@troutobsessionnzoff marketplace mate. 2nd hand but like new.
mean when you going out next should do a tuff trip with dave
we found out what was wrong with daves blue truck he broke rear diff
How much u take out? I'm doin a mwb at the mo
We took 280mm out. Have a look at my channel as a previous part shows how we did all that. I think Part 2??
Whats ya overall wheel base now? Must be close to a swb saf chassis, mines 2850mm and took out 170mm @@kentoutdoorsinnz7014
@@b3n189 yeah I'm about 2750. Shorty about 2400 so kinda smack in the middle.
Looks awesome, what part of the country you guys based? Also is it going to be road legal?
We down in welly. Na bush truck only. Not going the cert route on this one.
Very good info mate, how do you set green box to laser splash
Oh crikey. I did this vid a fair while ago. Pretty sure it's a menu option but I'll have to have a play and get back to you.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Thanks mate 👍
did Dave break his lockers again on the way up devils lol
Mate who knows. Front wasn't working at the top. Rear was . . . Maybe! Lol.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 lol
Looks like a good technical track! Is that red GQ a tb42??
Na red patrol is na td42 and 70 series cruiser is 3.8 v6 petrol.
Looks like fun!!
Yeah its a way to keep outta trouble!
Just out of interest, do you think the data you input could be manipulated to mimic the trajectory of an 8.44 gr, 177 pellet ? I recently bought an HT60 without the LRF, and have set the A-E menus to give me zeros from 20 to 60 metres. I use a golf type rangefinder, which does the job brilliantly, but it would be cool if the scope could do it for me. Nice vid.
I can't see why not. The ballistics menu allows you to plug in projectile data e.g. weight, speed, coefficient etc and from that it calculates drop. It doesn't care what's propelling the projectile or what projectile you use. As long as you can plug inthe above it does the math.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Thanks for the reply. I know some calculators only cater for rim and centre fire. My Sytong sits on a TX200 and so far it has been superb. I may well add one to my HW97. Nice video by way.
Thanks for that, I have just ordered the same model here (over the ditch) my fox lights are doing their job but it's not a cure, lead is!
It sure is. We don't have foxes over here.
Using cci quiet at the mo. Subsonic 710 fps segmented hollow point. Slow but bloody quiet so good on small blocks even round horses.
Cheers, nice video, what sort of distance can you get with those? I’ve been running the CCI small game subs 1050fps, which I quite like, but you do get the occasional fast/loud one, which isn’t ideal around stock
Hey mate, what ammo are you running in the 22?
Nice vid. Just got the Sytong, very impressed with it. Had a Pard 008, the software appears to be the same. Menu and reticule adjustment are the same.
Yeah mate weird but I think the sytong is a Chinese copy of the Chinese pard! They work pretty well for the price. I've upgraded mine to the ballistics version which makes shooting 710fps .22 much easier at distance.
Looks like a bloody good track, id be keen to see how my SAS surf on 36" CSTs stacks up against the silverstones and treps
Lol. I'm on 35 csts. Treps were 37s. Simexs were 35s. Bogs were deep. But it is a bloody fun track. SAS surf youd have fun!
Im jealous haha
Its pretty good fun!
Well done good catch.
Cheers buddy. Fish have not been quite so compliant lately! But that's fishing.
Sounds good.
Nice video mate, just a suggestion on hard track entries that are directly off a gravel road, down here in the south island we've started dead winching them to not rip up the entree, trying to keep track damage to a minimum that is in the public view, obviously if it was a private road then its a different story! Awesome video none the less 👌
Thanks buddy. Yeah it's not a public road but take your point. It's one of those entrees where slippery rock is just too hard to climb on mud tires. Thanks for your comments mate. Always nice to hear from other 4wders. South Island has some great spots!
@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 yeh looks like fun, we plan on doing another North island trip at some point in the future.
@@fishyracingbloody ripper. Some great tracks around welli in the akatarawas. Our club runs trips near every weekend. If your heading this way let me know as we could arrange a trip for you guys! What ever level your keen on.
We will do! Interested in similar stuff to this video, got a well setup gq, twin locked, redwinch, nova pto, 37 claws etc, couple videos on my channel of it. We'll have to make something happen at some point 👌
Iv seen your purple patrol out in on the tracks before and thats cool. Will be cool to see what ya do.
Thanks mate. This one's an assembly of spare parts but be a good fun build.
Hi. The BC is automatically calculated and adjusted on the reticle or you have to do it manually at each distance please.
No you use the rangefinder and it calculates the drop automatically and adds a new cross hair to the reticle.
@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 thank you
Hi Kent, welcome from sunny Ashburton. My set up is nearly the same! Tikka T1X in 22Lr, Arken scope, but a Sytong HT-77 clip on, which is a day/night unit. Regarding the Pard, I have just bought (today) a Pard TA 32-25 LRF. I was staggered as the price of the Pard, I couldn't pass it up. Are you Nth or Sth?
Hey buddy. Na I'm in the north island mate. Woo they come with lrf now. That's cool. I've upgraded scope to sytong ht60 lrf with ballistics. Very handy shooting slow bullets like 740fps.
What is your experience after using Pard TA 32? Is this sensor good for daily use?
hey buddy did you sell a house recently in upper Hutt I remember the name and the face I'm keen to get into four wheel driving and have purchased the neighbors Pajero which you may remember i do remember you talking about a safari and you may remember I owned A LAUREL
Yeah mate. I'll message you. Cool.
Hello, thanks for the review, please tell me what firmware is on your device? I have the same scope but BC below 0.2 is not released,
Хороший обзоры 👍👍👍
Is this a recent trip recorded or in the past?
Was on the 4th of Jan this year mate.
Hey mate looks like wicked track. Is this public or a private access?
Check out rallywoods website. You need to book and it's 30 bucks per vehicle.
Awesome videos mate, keep up the good work. A question about the new sytong, can you save multiple reticle/ballistic setups in it or is it a one gun only setup?
It does give you multiple profiles for zeroing different guns but I've not tested the ballistics and whether they ate also saved per profile. Will have to have a look for you mate.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 awesome mate, thanks very much. Did you go with the 3-8x option? How do you find the digital zoom and do you think it would be effective to 300m or would I need to go the 6-13x option. Just trying to get something that fits the different hunting I do. Generally shooting bunnies and possums but wanting to use on another gun for deer out to 250m. Seems like your the first to get one of these and put up some videos.
@@randylillsley2561mate this is the 3-8 version. In one of my other vids I compare the pard thermal to t he sytong 3-8. Older sytong but same 3-8 and ir. That shows what it's like at about 200yrds or so. For me 6 - 13 would be too much for the ranges I shoot. Could I shoot deer at 250 with a 3-8. Yup. I reckon easy but it's not as clear as it is at 50yrds but clear enough. If you mostly shoot to about 100yrds my preference would be 3 - 8 power. I'll see if I can get a short for you at different ranges.
Great start to the season for you. Great camera footage on the sytong. Our HT77 is working perfectly and really enjoying the clarity. Thanks again
Thanks for the comment. Yeah good to get out and clean a few up.
Does anybody want possums in their garden? I suppose some people have them as 'pets', so they might not be impressed, so fair call. I might start recording some of my shots.
Lol. Mate you'd be surprised what people may or may not be happy to have around. I always ask first.
Hey mate. I heard a rumour a year ago that you might be able to firmware update the older models. Do you know if that's possible? I've got an HT-60 LRF but the LRF is useless and I wish I'd never paid for that extra weight. It often shows about 4.2m no matter where I point the rifle. I also bought a PARD DS35-50 which looks like a traditional scope, but LRF is great and image clarity is better. Tried my hand and shooting pigeons in a barn the other night, but didn't record it. Pretty successful once you get ballistics (on the PARD) dialed in.
Na there was talk about an upgrade but think they just bought out a new model. Shame your lrf doesn't work well. Mines been faultless. But I know the Pard and they look like they work pretty well. Pigeons and rats would be fun!
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 You'd think they could at least change the model to HT-61 or something. Did you sell your old one?
Yeah will be mate. Yeah tis a bit odd they kept it the same. Will test the ballistics and post something up.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014
hi Kent, slightly of topic, your moderated 410 shotgun, was the moderator put on in New Zealand, or is it one of the UK hushpower versions
Just got the pard ta32 19mm and couldnt believe how good it is. Had an axiom 2 by pulsar and the pard is better in my honest opinion plus got it for 700$ less than the pulsar.
Yeah mate I'm pretty happy with mine. I know you can get better images but you start paying a lot! I use it for spotting animals. That's it. And it does that really well.
In the US Bunny Busting is where we learn how to shoot from long distances with a 30.6 or work alike with a good scope; they are literally little specs in the scope and explode upon impact, thus 'busting'. Not much left for eating as it's to learn allowing for wind and drop from a far, FAR distance.
Sounds like fun. Have done that a few times with 130gr through the .308 a few years ago.
Hi Kent! This Sytong, does it have a Ballistic calculator?
No ballistic calculations
Berapa harga nya bisa kah di kirim ke indonesia di provinsi Kalbar. Barang nya kalau saya beli
Do reckon the sytong would be fine for shooting deer at 200yds? Would the Illuminator be good out to 2-250yds, cheers
Hi buddy. Mate I've got another video up which compares the sytong to my pard thermal but in it you'll see stock at about 200 out to 300 yards. In it I'm just using the Sytong illuminator. It's pretty good. Have a look at the video and see what you think but I reckon easy clear enough.
Good onya "Rosie" too easy 🤙🤙
That’s sweet! I have to do the same for my thermo fans.
Lol. Pleased you like it mate.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 mate I’m across the ditch and have just bought a safari. Can you tell me if I can have the car in gear and crawling while the PTO is running or will that stuff something? Cheers in advance. No one here has a clue about them lol
@@eronparker5801 yeah you can buddy. You can run the pto with the car in neutral or you can stick the car in gear and drive as well. Pto drive is off the box shaft prior to gears so it only speeds up based on engine Rev irrespective of what gear your in. They are a grunty bit of kit.
I very pleased with mine, love the range finder.
What is this distance looks really good in my opinion
If you mean the dead bunny it's really close. Probably 10 yards.
So it’s not so good quality?
@@keesdane9687 no thecquality is fine for the price and what I use it for.
Very nice. I am so over electric winches. Next car will be old model with PTO jack shaft. I am so sick of Warn electric winches failing.
Yeah works pretty well. I've just started to get the hang of the noises they make when they get loaded which saves busting ropes. Fast and reliable.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Thanks. I just took out a W10000 out of my LC and it's going back to ARB for the 2nd time to get fixed. Electric winches are not farm-proof. They are unreliable.
Too much waiving about when sighting up made me a bit dizzy so only watched a couple of minutes.
Lol. Fair enough. Sometimes once video is running you need to adjust. With the deer I wasn't too fussy as just wanted to get the footage!
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you.
@@TheAtomsman it's fine mate no problem. I don't like jiggly footage either but sometimes it's all you can get.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Maybe try a tripod, just a thought.
@@TheAtomsman lol. Mate I have a shooting stick but if it was the jiggly footage of the deer it's because I was walking up to them. And filming at the same time. It settled down once I got there.
How, please, do you download your videos from the Sytong to your computer? Do you need to use the HDMI port, or is there another way? Thanks.
I normally take the sd card out of the sytong then plug that into the pc. Easiest way for me.
@@kentoutdoorsinnz7014 Thanks. That makes sense.
Great images. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah was pretty cool to see them. Thanks for watching!
Good work. I like my Sytong, but I haven't started taking pictures with it yet. Just bought a memory card for it, so hopefully next time I go out I can get some pictures to share. Best wishes from Nelson.
Sounds awesome. The video is really helpful. Playback in slomo has helped me diagnose why I'm missing shots. Downside of that is , although I like to blame bullets or scope the slow motion proves every time it's my shooting! But at least I can improve that.
very cool video :)
Cheers buddy. Yeah was a pretty good night!
What brand device was this mate?
Sytong ht60 night vision scope and pard ta32 thermal spotter.
How did the raptor coating hold up?
Mate its pretty bulletproof. Even the barwork is hardly marked. Bit shit to clean though. The mud we have is like clay so will need scrubbing where I reckon a gloss paint would clean way easier. But that paint itself did not chip or scratch. And she got a hiding!
