Can you put a total blackout film on the outside of a terminal Paine window that gets direct sunlight for over 7 hours

Is heat stress on your double pane windows less of an issue if you're in a less hot climate like Ohio?Or if the window is on the northern side of the building & receives no direct ☀️?

Question. Everybody is concerned with micro and nanoplastics nowadays, and how many products shed those materials (from food packaging to food containers, clothing, and even dental floss). A lot of sunlight will go through these windows, heating them up. Will that cause the particles in your product to break up and shed microplastics or nanoplastics over time?

Great video! May I ask how the warranty works with double-pane windows which are out of the window manufacturer warranty period. Will the film company apply a breakage warranty if we purchase an Eastman or 3M film? Early stages of selecting a film but the breakage risk has me tiptoeing.

I got here just wondering what types of film are generally safer on double pane windows. However, it seems like the suggestion is to just find a professional. I might still do that, but I’m still curious _for my own_ benefit: What is best? I’m assuming as long as it has low absorption (i.e. into the film itself) and higher reflectivity (i.e. even if installed inside the house, reflecting light back out _through_ the two panes of glass and the gas inside) that it’s still fine. I want to add a film to the outside of my glass door refrigerator glass. I feel it would work better to stop UV before it enters than bouncing heat back through the IGU itself. I only need a small piece 24" x 60" since this is a True brand merchandiser fridge on my patio that does get some full sun on the bottom half for a few hours a day. What can you suggest?
