A tip I was told...Before stating just turn key and make sure all the "idiot lights" illuminate. If you see any that aren't lighting up they may have been disconnected to hide a problem.

You should never start the car that’s donating the power. The alternators can work against each other and burn out the electric parts. You were correct in the way to connect, but do not ever start the car that is the donor car.

My dad taught me to take a slow, sharp turn with 4WD engaged. You can just tell it's working, based on how it feels compared to when it's disengaged.

Don’t hop curbs in vehicles that aren’t yours. Better way to do this is to engage 4wd and attempt figure 8s you should feel the resistance and hear tire scrub especially if there is a locker. This also works for testing lockers

Old blade looked fine for general yard mowing to me. Maybe sharpen it up instead of replacing. Now if i was doing it professionally or if im super concerned with the look of my yard maybe replace every couple years but i also tend to sharpen every year if needed.
