📜 Gameplay:
Try to pump as efficiently as possible while also collecting trash and taking photos of the birds.
Pump the foilboard up and down with your thumb or any other finger. The greater the movement, the more propulsion. But a corresponding amount of energy is lost with each pump.
Collect extra points by picking up trash. To do this, you have to hit the trash with the top of your board tip.
Also the photos of the birds score extra points. Click the shutter button with the camera symbol while a bird is in sight.

Ganz normale Sechskant + Beilegescheibe? Vielen Dank und Grüße Valentin

      Dock starting is much easier to learn with the XXL. Since low speeds are enough, you can jump from a standing position without running (Deadstart). Once starting has become second nature, you switch back to the smaller XL!

      Hi Tyler, the first of these “Kingfisher” boards have been in use for our foil pumping courses for almost two years now. There have also been no complaints from our customers who have purchased a board. The robust construction with the wooden core does not become soft despite the high load during pumping. It is ideal for dock launching in harsh environments with steel docks and concrete walls. In contrast to foam cores, the board does not soak water in the event of minor damage.

    too complex: 2 hardwood sticks (2.1cm x 2.1cm x 60cm) screwed and glued 9cm apart for supporting the mast foot onto 3.3mm plywood - plus 2cm XPS laminated with 2 sheets of glass fabric (160g/m2) on bottom and sides + 1 sheet of glass fabric on top - Is sufficient. Thus at about 65€ and lighter weight too.

    • @neckarfoil

      The oval tube was really hard to find, but I found it on Ebay. The dimensions are 60x10 mm with a wall thickness of 1.5mm. It holds the loads so far, however, I can say little about corrosion, since I am only pumping in freshwater. I wanted to find a simple alternative to the fin box tracks. In the meantime, however, I am convinced that for foil pumping you do not need this possibility of trimming. Instead of moving the mast plate you can move your standing position. Four holes are the easiest to implement ;)

    • @neckarfoil
      @neckarfoil Před rokem

      Hi Jacek, I am very happy that I was able to inspire you with this video. 1. The wood stripes are 10x10mm. This results in a wood core thickness of 20mm. (plus 2mm glassing and 3mm cork decking = 25mm total thickness). 2. Beech wood is significantly more stable than softwood. At least two stiff stringers should be incorporated, which direct the pumping forces over the board length into the mast plate. I would not recommend a pure balsa or foam core. 3. Yes, paulownia is very suitable. In our shop we have the "Eisvogel" pumping board which is made of a paulownia glue wood panel. You can buy the panels in the hardware store, so you do not have to glue them by yourself. And to be honest, a flat board is actually better for pumping than a board with a rocker like the one in this video! Check out Leo's tutorial of a paulownia foil pumping board: czcams.com/video/HW1ou_KBMaE/video.html We are working on a new CZcams video about the "Eisvogel" built, so stay tuned ;)

      @@neckarfoil thanks a lot Kai! It really pushed me to order the paulownia plank! I just wonder if I should use only the glass fiber or rather at least one layer of carbon. Could You please share your experience, how many layers in total did You put on both sides and what carbon density do You recommend?

      @@ja_git0 glass or carbon is a difficult question! If you use paulownia then the glass will give you a view on the nice wood grain because of its transparency. But on the other hand carbon itself has a nice look too! And is more stiffer and has less weight. On the "Eisvogel" I use very thick fabric. Glass and Carbon 400gsm (12Oz). On top 1x layer carbon and 1x layer glass. On the bottom side 1x layer glass only, but 2x layer carbon around the mast plate position. Have a look here in our shop: www.neckarfoil.de/shop/equipment/foil-pumping-board-eisvogel/ Two days ago, we had a Instragram live session talking about foil pumping board building. We put the content as text on our website (in German only, but I am sure that auto-translation will help). Pumptrack mit dem Skateboard ist tatsächlich vom Bewegungsablauf fast identisch mit Foil Pumping. Ideal um das Schwingen der Arme zu üben und die Oberschenkel zu trainieren! Am besten spät abends auf den Pumptrack gehen, wenn die Tretroller-Fraktion bereits im Bett liegt 😉😄

    Outstanding Video - I find you need to feel almost 'weightless' in the arms up phase and people underestimate the engery transfer required in the Drive Down (Pump) phase.

      Yes, you are right. 'Weightless' is a good description. And yes, we always compare it to a 100 metres sprint race. It's extremely tiring.
