Years ago while scuba diving around the Gull Islands I noticed a smallmouth bass following me. I turned and swam towards it and all it did was back up. I figured that I was stirring up the bottom and it was feeding on something. I flipped a couple rocks and picked up a crayfish and threw it up towards it. He immediately grabbed and ate it. A few minutes later there were at least two dozen bass eating crayfish out of my fingers. That was probably my most memorable dive.

Brother and his friends were in that area a few weeks ago. They caught so many bass in 2 days that they left a day early. They literally got sick of catching bass 😂😂😂

Nice ! If I can make it thus upcomin,l (ice ) season , 2025.., My DoB is the 5th of January,, prayin for some good early ice for the big Lake in your backyard buddy. First yr I was able to set the hook thru the ice there was circa 2004ish.Was out January 1st, was a 7hr drive that year from where we departed from. Limited on pickerel , 3of us, and one white fish, I gotta get a book from the bait shop when im there next time! 2nd time settin the hook there thru the ice again was middle/end of January about 7yrs ago now. Only caught 1 perch. 6 of us ,

Right on Koke! Good luck out on Temagami. Just back from Alberta for my youngest son's wedding. Chartered a pontoon with guide and tackle for a day and between 3 of us we managed 69 walleye.

Pretty awesome Koke! Just acquired myself a 14 ft John boat that I will be restoring and getting out ASAP and I would love to find one of these for that. Going to use inline weights in the meantime. Tight lines my friend

80 feet down on a 5lbs ball what I use, the spoon what makes the difference, both size and colour. Lake Ontario use big spoons, purple works good for lakers. Anything really salmon/lakers/ browns and rainbows where I go near Kingston Ontario.

Great score Koke, I had the same model on my first boat and I used it more than I use my current electric one. I think it's cause the electric one is removed until I need it (to avoid theft) and the old clamp on style was always in the boat. Enjoy buddy

When I was a kid Rice lake was full of bass, pickerel and pike but you had to fish the holes in the weeds. Nice carp at least.

Caught my biggest pickerel on a worm harness trolling, they also work great for ice fishing but just the single hook ones.

Good job Bob. 👀🤬 Many aquatic born insects go to nearby trees after they shed their wing husk to mate. The females then return to the rocks or water’s surface and lay their eggs. By the looks of things those were dragonfly’s whose favourite meal is mosquitoes.
