What strikes me is how natural she seems on camera. Such confidence, and just a woman who's comfortable in her own skin. Can joke and have fun. Love that about her.
Over and over and over and over and over again....
Great line from Betty at the end, there. 😂
My mother had purchased this book several years ago called Forbidden Channels chock full of network television's "dirty little secrets" as it were which took the mock contractual provision that Vance was required to be at least five pounds overweight as gospel truth. In another similar example it said that Fred MacMurray hated doing My Three Sons so much that he insisted on filming all of his scenes all at once. There is an element of truth to this in that Fred did in fact insist on this somewhat unorthodox shooting schedule so he could get back to his family and not be away from them for long periods of time.
That poker player schooled both mother and daugher up, down, left and right with wins over the season. Joan must have promised her daughter would give Trump a hummer if he let them win, Cause there were NO WAY they beat the "poker player".. That was the season I kinda lost respect for the show..for Joan, and for Trump.
She was about 40 there
Even when my grandmother was alive, I mourned losing her in the future (when seeing this film). Now that I'm an adult, she has sinced passed. I understand this scene even more so now.
Either it was a psychological problem or she just got to where she hates men. It’s always either one of the two.
Beautiful person ! It’s shame so sad that men can drive some women to this place of life
Joan’s people phucked over generations of people over the last known recorded historical events of existence since the beginning of this known existence.
I loved Vivian Vance. She was a treasure ,❤
This has to one one of the worst shows ever. The only variety shows that were worse than this were Pink Lady and Jeff and The Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour.I was no Donny and Marie fan but I think 1 their show was better.May I suggest you you do a video about The Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour
Joan was pretty good as a host,,no Conan but didn't get her chance to shine long
Okay , I would get back at Joan and interview her after. This is how it would go: “Joan, your husband committed suicide…. What did you do to him?”… You are thin and you were married so how did you lose your husband? Goodness Joan, it seems like you did everything right! You are thin, you get plastic surgery every year and you are rich!!! What did you do Joan? You certainly can’t Keep a husband!!!! Now about me… I may be overweight and single but my life is AMAZING!!!! Too bad you can’t be like me!”
She wasn't even that big
Bette's 1988 Ogilvie home perm is *EVERYTHING!!!*
Why show the whole Show?
Debralee had it, indeed!..
Just to hear their voices takes me back to those wonderful days of television..Lucy and Ethel together again.
Needs therapy , so defensive insulting her fans in the audience about memories of the show while to Eve those details are hardly worth remembering.
She came on the show to get publicity hoping to remind casting directors that she still acts. Dying her hair black reminds me of when Jan wore a wig so she wouldn’t be confused with Marcia. Now she’s died her hair black so she wouldn’t look like the actress that played Jan .
ㅠㅠ
Shelly is pure uncomfortable joy being interviewed by cardboard, but what was the setting for this? Did someone actually give Miriloo Henner a talk show? What? Was she Oprah-level and I just missed it? TAXI and something with Burt Reynolds, right? She was okay, in those, did fine. Was this a Henner talk show? I find that mind-boggling.
They make me think of my great grandmother
Seen several of her old interviews. She is definitely different in this interview than those previous. Definitely showing signs of the mental decline that eventually overtook her.
Why do we congratulate this ? I don’t get it
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
2 husbands...2 divorces lmao viv was awesome
❤❤❤❤❤🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
I hope Melissa watched this afterwards And was embarrassed😂😂😂
Why couldn't they ask her about her other roles and numerous projects?? I swear people are annoying 😩
Joan read them their rights.
what a nasty bully
Joan had to bitch her way to win. Despite missing shows and basically forcing her daughter on the show - and when her daughter was fired, she used nepotism. Donald was familiar with that - and knew it was better for an iconic female comedian to win than a barely famous poker player. These are the seasons I hated. I hated that he would fire most people because they weren’t as famous. The ONLY time he didn’t do this was the last season when he fired a Jonas Brother early on - which turned out to be a terrible decision.
Sound is off in this video. I can only hear it on the left side.
She was stunning!!
Vivian's voice took on a little Southern drawl? She was born in Kansas though I don’t think she was raised there too long?
I thought I had a crush on Morticia Addams. Now I see my crush was on Carolyn Jones. What a gem she was.
I don’t see how Oprah is a role model.. she has exaggerated everything about herself pre fame, has herself always been obsessed with her weight and appearance and though she performs empathy, she seems to lack genuine empathy. She’s faked it till she’s made it. She has batted for the system, that’s why she’s allowed to succeed
RIP SHELLY 😢
It's hate to look at old clips. Hosts coulds be such s*heads. Ugh.
"a little further..." God, I love so much.
Now you got a nazi and a follower 💀
Wow this is hard to watch and very sad the way it was so acceptable to degrade women into feeling they had to look a certain way. Even doing it to one another. Sad. And women have suffered mightily because of it.
Miss her so much
Oprah look so pretty here! ❤
somehow I think Cesar Romero doesn’t do the dishes
Joan Rivers, before she died said that Michelle Obama was a man. She had no shame and went over the top here. What if someone had talked about her horrible plastic surgery that basically turned Joan into a Muppet?
“Whore Pit Vipers”
Wow… I even cried watching her pain.😢 Stay strong Barbara… you’re in our prayers. 🙏💕
