It's not so much which deck is best combined with abc but more so which engines. In my personal experience there is no one best engine as they as all have their pros and cons. For example currently I'm on a scrap build and the advantage there is that you don't lose to droll nearly as hard (with most hands anyway) but you end up running alot of bricks. In other builds with things like revolution synchron, foolish burial goods , Adventure etc. you get extremely powerful cards that can bait interaction but you rely more on hard drawing hangar or piece + unauth, you'd also lose to droll more often. Sorry if this wasn't exactly what you wanted it's just hard to quantify an exact best build of abc at this point in time. All that being said I believe once INFO comes out fiendsmith ABC will easily be the most consistent and probably most powerful build but we still got 2 weeks for that.

I do not play ocg unfortunately , closest thing would be MD however I can tell you that curious gryphon combos are very accessible in the ocg so perhaps lean into that.

@@XeoYGO too many bricks no? haha i tried to build the deck with many variation and i can tell that running fiendsmith isn't that optimal honestly, but main decking droplet and insert horus package instead can help a lot since horus provide soo much recovery with a free body alone, running tuner stuff feel clunky too idk

Right back at ya. We will simply have to make do with what we got right now but also don't forget that fiendsmith are basically all light and quite insane so that might be the way going forward.

No the new cards will light lock you preventing you from going into most of the cards in the extra deck you'd need to use. That being said post support you won't even need to play any scrap cards.

You're correct , this video was made when cross was first announced so the translation wasn't exactly clear and I decided to be safe with what we had at the time.

I still believe its better to just play the deck without the world because if your regular combo resolves you're probably winning anyway with 2 garnets in your deck. That being said tho it is a funny way to end the game.

If you want to play around drnm just search a 2nd b then use hyper cannon eff to summon 2 Bs from gy and banishment , equip to infinity and buster. Now drnm isn't as big an issue. If you really want to beat drnm there is literally an anti spell combo that's also 1 card combo.

If you're referring to g soldier you don't have to play it at all , just go straight to ptolamaeus. If you're referring to the anti spell combo, it's done with all engine and no outside "bricks", just the usual driver and ttg and I suppose anti spell but let's be real you'd want to draw into anti spell anyway. If you're talking about the actual unions then I really don't know what to tell you except that those are required to play abc/xyz lol

Tearlaments too dies to Shifter and its the strongest deck of all time

You can play under droll with some of the tools you have in the deck such as unauth, revolution synchron , even hangar itself but yes if you only have a hand of starters droll will end you tho usually we start with a 5 card hand in this game. As for shifter yeah there isn't much you can do even if you end on 2+ disruptions you're losing followup and resources but guess what not every deck can play around everything and nor should it be able to, that would be ridiculous.

@@XeoYGO also playing around Shifter is a possible benefit not a requirement. Same as with MAXX C

In the case of maxx c being able to play under it is very important otherwise you give your opponent too much advantage , however we thankfully don't need to worry about maxx c here and thank god 😆

Probably not but I still wanted to see what adding a bystial could do for me, you know explore every option available and pick the best one.

Hand ripping for 1 didn't seem as useful as making spheres for a bounce.

Also if you play amorphage sloth you can lock your opponent out of the extra deck

You can certainly get a similair board off 1 card , I just wanted to see what a lubellion could add to it and it added layered interruptions i.e disruption from the hand disruption from a trap and ofc your regular interrupts. As for sloth that takes me back to 2016 back when I was playing dark matter blue eyes 😈

@@XeoYGOplaying dragongate on master duel was so fun. Also for the combo I used the buster blader link 2 because it’s a generic light dragon link monster that you can summon multiple times just to link off the drake and wyvern. I have no idea how good the bystials will be when this stuff comes out but it might be decent against the goofy fiend smith shenanigans

Yep I am aware of the buster Blader link 2 , i just want to figure out which sub engine is the most optimal play with the new cards. The bystials might be good but it could also be really bad depending on the format , meanwhile something like fiendsmith is almost always good and also smaller in size. There's just too many options to try out and they all have to be built differently 😅

That mostly depends on the rest of your hand and which ht your opponent played. If it's something like an ash you're probably gonna power through but if it's something like a droll or shifter then you're gonna run into some issues. If it's something like nib there's a good chance you're already playing 3 crossout and 3 reactivation which can help you push through , regardless you will never make the exact same board through 1 high impact ht , it will always have less disruption but can have similair disruption.

They need to print more light link monsters, I hate that we have an extremely powerful and efficient link spamming deck with no pay-off

It's not so much we don't have a payoff but more so that we have to use a bunch of throw away ED cards to ladder into our actual disruption which means we have options on a followup. I.e previously we'd probably end on apollo ip buster etc but we'd still have knightmares , sp , access code and other stuff to go into on turn 3 or if our board got broken. Now it feels like an all in or no go kind of thing.

Well the new support opens so many lines and possibilities. Its only natural to want to limit test the combos

Rev synchron still seems like an include regardless for the easy 7 access , as for 2 y I personally think 2 y is the way to go regardless of sub engines.

I haven't built a proper Ed for this deck yet and probably won't until we actually get the physical cards. With that being said I believe you'd have to build around having the fiendsmith cards and as such you'd have to remove some options from your extra.

@@XeoYGO i'm currently running hat hare in the deck and the galaxy-eyes link monster as well and always end up with 3-4 cards at least in the Extra deck! if I use the synchro monsters as well to search the field spell I will end up with no extra deck! there is going to be nothing left if my opponent breaks my board it will be all over! XD of course that will be somehow impossible since my 1 card combo end up with 2 extra cards in the hand! BUT I will need to spend hours again testing the synergy!

It's a good thing our boards are near unbreakable :)
