I remember this year, I was 15 and I saw Prodigy... ABSOLUTELY F**KING AWESOME
wow what an experience, sounds like you had a great time. crazy festival
Too many people. Why not get together in smaller groups?
Hearing 'Trinity - Mechanical baby' blaring out that tent is phenominal!!!!!!!
thanks for the ID, wasnt sure on it. mental night
Jacques lu cont did a lovely little set for Seb’s show i remember, where does the time go 🙃
great times and music, thanks for listening
This is the short version? Is the full version still available?

Anyone playing that crap music deserves to be arrested
Madonna- what it feels like for a girl!!!! What a mint song that is!!! Still sounds just as good in 2024 as it did in 2001!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁
very true, thanks for reminding me and us about it, just listening to it now. Cheers
rip mc duke
yep so sad! cant believe it
♥️💛💚
i remember this very vividly (god knows how). dave pearce played before jules then jules came on at 5pm. the weather was scorchio. spent nearly all night in the subliminal and underwater tent
fantastic, bet it was amazing. not sure which one we went to but it rained lol. Such good times
Brilliant, that's me in the background at @27:17 in the black shorts; someone told me we had been on TV when we got home (no mobile phones, of course). We went down to this without tickets :)
haha fantastic, bet you had fun. looking a bit spun out and confused ;)
4 mile from my mums house
lucky you
Been looking for this for many, many years. Just found it on the hottest day of the year so far, while on my way to the beach with a large Bluetooth speaker and a crate of Bud, less than 48 hours before I leave my hometown, possibly for good, to go to rehab. People post these things, and sometimes have no idea of the joy and impact they have brought by doing so. Nearly at the beach now 😊 Thank you. So much Xx
Hey there, no worries, glad i could help out and people with the love of music and listen again. i think i had a few more DJ mag tapes, but cant find them now. Hope it brings back lots of great memories, enjoy
it was funny really, the establishment were up in arms about these 'hippies' - but the majority of the crusty types were children of the landed aristocracy and the gentry, public school types - they were the establishment and are probably running things now. i met a couple at a free festival around 89/90 got to know them quite well and they invited us back to their parents house, which turned out to be a huge country pile out in the sticks, swimming pool, tennis courts the lot. Mummy was an artist but daddy was something big in the city... its always been the case, half of Crass were similar - but they were awesome and weren't all talk, plus Steve was a working class lad.
never got into Crass, but heard they were pretty good
I remember it well, going from rig to rig ,desperate for some decent music to dance to - so much hardcore ! we were longing for some deep house or chilled d&b.
lol yeah it was pretty hard going at times
I was here best year ever
great stuff, hope the video brought back some good memories
It certainly did thanks for sharing it 🎉
Another great year for Glastonbury we’re mud for it but some amazing bands her though supergrass is my fav band here what a band cheers

@@webm8 yeah mate my dad got me in too loads of this stuff my dad told me about supergrass stereophonics stereo mcs and many more my mums music is a bit crap thanks dad for getting me in to indie
@@discoverydolan5134 what a great guy
Sadly i didn't make it to '95 but it looked cracking and I watched these shows avidly. Went every year it was on after though until 2009 (i think). There was something a bit rough about the festivals in the 90's that I liked more than these days. I guess everyone and his dog goes to them now but back then it wasn't as common to attend. Not that I'm complaining. I've got 5 lined up so far this year starting next week
so true about G'bury being a bit edgy at times, especially at night. defo made it exciting, all a bit safe now. wow still going! amazing, are you still doing all the camping stuf?!
I was there 🎉
great year for it
You used the wrong song for this :(
Last time I went to see my folks, now both in their 80s.. my mum whose now very frail told me with a tear in her eye that she was constantly scared for my safety. All they saw was negative news reports. I feel pretty bad about that, but at the time in my 20s I just lived the life I'd fallen into and it was great fun, stressful as fk at times but hey.. Just sad my folks spent 5 or 6 year's worrying.. apparently as soon as I moved onto the canal they stopped worrying so much.
Mostly great apart from 'echobelly' (poor whichever way you look at 'em) i even had to rewind to remember what they were called they were so forgettable! *edit oh dear there's worse....'madder rose'?!!...i see a pattern emerging here....🤔
LOL
I was there, what a belting night!! Even bought a dodgy silver cat suit from Amsterdam the month before for it, I looked like a right tit 😂
haaha, still got it?
@@webm8 nah, they were selling them 2 for a fiver at my local green market was well ripped off 🤣🤣🤣
@@user-sy2xd8hz2j lol

@@webm8 cheers mate
Every body is in relatively good shape. We got fat!!!!
The dancing all night on E's diet was very effective.
bring them police back. no messing
Not sure who the 2nd MC is on the Kenny Ken set??
Anyone remember the firemen raving on the roof of their engines?
Didn't realise it had it written as GROOVE RIDER on the cassette will have to dig my one out to see if it's written down the same way if not u might have a very rare tape there or vice versa??
ah right, i had never noticed to you said, how strange lol all these years
Yeh I got this tape probably the best tape out of the whole event with MC's Joe Peng and Ribbz on the Grooverider set and MC Magika on the Kenny Ken set!! This was done on my 14th birthday I'm 45 now and still think it's wicked to this day!!
wow, it is an amazing tape for sure. So so good
Police were/are totalitarian tossers! Any form of none conformity to the prescribed government narrative is met with overwhelming discrimination and persecution. Nothing change just the government puppets of the elites.
Ho 10 coni
funky chicken crew!
Only missed one Universe rave! Which was Techno tent but i was at Perception at cripps barn!
A naughty fix XD
It was on that they scratted.
Brilliant, mate. Thanks for uploading. Great memories (somewhat hazy though haha)
no probs, shame i had to edit bits out, but you can see it all on my site :) enjoy
Do you know the location where this was filmed?
Best club in Somerset at the time!! Free party every weekend, Obsession, Altitude, Chapter 33, Cheers Ian /Weed, Scott /Sandy /Paul

The police, thugs and oppressors then and still thugs and oppressors only now they opress the white christian population and protect hordes of muslims who hate us and our way of life.
while these 'travellers' were sat in fields and living in old bus's with 'no engine at the moment' but plenty of 'groceries' in; - I was touring, living and working around Europe...
😂 Wtf
@@Ryan-vg4wn that's what I said when I heard of these pretend travellers, - they were acting like toddlers trying to fly to the moon on an old boiler... all stuff that I had long since grown out of by the time I spread my wings....
@@Ryan-vg4wn SO; You are laughing at ME? ...have you even travelled? - or just got high in an old bus with no engine...
@@ANTHONYBOOTH 😂😂

Cop cocks
A lot of people in this show themselves to be nasty, ignorant ,vindictive, bigots. The travellers on the other hand seem like nice people.
Boyce was directing the traffic!
This was the first tape I ever had a copy of. Was only 13 used to listen to it everyday on my Walkman on the way to school. What got me into the scene and still listening now at 44 haha.
fantastic, such a good tape and sound quality. Great party too, totally trashed haha. Glad you are stil enjoying it
@@webm8Many thanks for the upload, still have the tape but nothing to play it on haha.
@@MattyEngland no worries, hope it brougt back those memories again
14:44 It’s sickening to me all the police resources being wasted stopping these people going on. It should be a job for the parachute regiment
