I was incredibly lucky to draw a desert in Colorado my first year applying. I got wooped on that hunt. When I got home with my ram, I said my sheep hunting days where over. I now have 2 rocky points in Colorado. Haha. Sheep hunting is a chronic disease! I want the slam before I die. Great video!

I had the good fortune to hunt with Arctic Red. On the sixth day I took a ram that scored 172-5/8. It truly was the adventure of a lifetime.

Doug Sayer hired sheep mountian outfitters whose owner is Todd Longgood...Google Todd Longgood Pendleton Poacher...this guy has multiple convictions and pending convictions for poaching..read about Alabama couple who he guided muledeer hunt..poached deer in Oregon then put Montana tag on it then transported it to Idaho to taxidermist...Hunting sheep with dogs..wasting meat..cited in 2023..he posing with Doug Sayer in this video..Doug claiming largest ram in Idaho using SCI Scoring..ram scored 200 1/8 boone and crocket..largest ram in Idaho scored 202 5/8 and netted 201 5/8...Idaho backing SCI scoring..

how fkng transformational really a different experience to go hunting with people I never did and so there is zero dialogue in my experience interesting; I would love to try hunting with friends

I lost all respect for the Boone and Crockett club when they themselves confirmed desert sheep from Rancha La Guarida in Mexico are allowed entry into their record books. I asked Jose, the owner about this, and he said he must donate a sheep hunt annually in exchange for his sheep to be eligible for entry. This ranch is high fenced. Their "fair chase" principals are easily bought, apparently.

the auctions for the conservation tags are extremely important to raise a lot of money in a microcosm of time. I will never be able to bid on any of the tags when they sell for $600 K. The North American model affords opportunity to everyone who wants to hunt. This opportunity can be archived through raffles. Raffles allow anyone with limited means the ability to purchase a ticket in hopes of winning a hunt. If both auctions and raffles are conducted at the same time, in my mind, there is no question of violating the North American Model.

This is a great video and true testament to ethical sportsmanship and integrity! However, it starts up like a trophy hunt and perhaps loosing interest to a non hunter! The values conveyed towards the middle and end of this video may have been better suited up front, to captivate the general public early in the film? As a hunter, this preaches to the converted. But some hunters may waiver in their ethics if an over mature specimen was not in the population. As guides, it must be very hard to have a client go home empty handed, or not have that wonderful culmination experience of tasting the fruit of the labour, up on the mountainside, after all the time, effort and expense? Some clients may choose to take a prime breeder, if a monarch was not in the cards? A tough decision for both involved!

Life long bow hunter. Great video however he started with his bow and ended up shooting with a rifle and they didn’t even show the kill shot! Weak!

Never felt any interest to enter any of my whitetails into Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett. They are my trophies and I am not interested in being in any books. That’s not why I hunt. But that is just for me. I am not telling anyone else what they should or should not do

Hunting is NOT: Vengeance, cruelty, a blood-sport, machoism, just something to do, etc. Hunting is an ancient instinctive quest to capture a quarry.......period! One should NEVER apologize or made to feel guilty for it.
