They just dont work these kind of drills. Need to learn correct sequencing. Avoiding carefully placed obstacles is lazy teaching in my opinion

Great video Mike as usual, interesting concept with the early release i will have to give this a go with my nemesis(the dreaded driver lol) the one club that made me give up trying to get better lol.

i'm often complimented on my putting even by very good players and they ask how I putt so well, and I always think this one thought before getting into the process, "I can make this putt" and that's all it takes.

Mike The big take away for me is that when a player is taking a playing lesson, the focus should be on playing and not the golf swing. I have seen too many times where a player is taking a playing lesson and after they hit a shot they ask the instructor a question about their swing or about something that needs to worked on at the practice facility. Looking forward to future videos like this. I would like for you and Adam to consider doing a video on course care (straight line divots on the range, repairing tee and fairway divots, fixing ball marks, raking bunkers, etc). Maybe your golf course superintendent could go out on the range and course with you and speak to the benefits of players doing their small part to take care of the course. I know that it may not be want your viewers would want but it is something all golfers would benefit from and yours and Adam's channel are large platforms to reach out.

Any way to convert this to chipping putting takeaways? I’ve always used one takeaway for all clubs because of some weird OCD

Good video. A lot of attention is put on don't turn your hips, shoulders, etc. This drill pretty much does that and gets you turning at the right time with little effort. As in a more natural golf swing. I was paying way to much attention to other things than hand path.

I am confused on when you hinge the wrists. At what point do you hinge and turn? I have seen some people say that once the hands reach the right leg but the club is not parallel to the target if you hinge at the right leg.

I twist my left knee in for backswing, and out for downswing. A bit like Elvis Presley 😂

Both elbows in and down, pointing to my rib cage work for me to ensure swing plane control through the swing.

I’m 6’6 and have really long arms. I tend to leave the face open on my misses. I notice I do have a lot lag, could this be the answer to getting the face closed sooner?????

Hi Mike, love this video. The drill is a great way to feel the correct position of the right elbow. I would love it if you could talk more about the early wrist set you are having your student do. I feel like this is important to being able to get that elbow in the desired position at the top. Thanks!

Sharpie marker on the alignment stick is a fantastic tip for consistent setup. What I thought was the ball position just ahead of centre was actually too far forward. Putting the ball more in the centre using the alignment stick has made my putting way more consistent. The view down actually looks like it is more in the back of the stance but I know it isn't so this gives great confirmation and feedback. I've just made 100 putts in a row from 6 feet. The ball is rolling truer and straighter.

Mike, you are an absolute legend! Do you by chance have an image of that right hand/trigger finger? I was 100% doing what you described in this video with my wedges, leading to fat contact and horrible consistency. Do you do this with all the clubs? Lastly, this might have saved my golf game. I was ready to step away because my wedges are so bad - thank you!
