I think you’re wise to reduce your work hours if you can manage it. I am a retired nurse and at one point I didn’t think I’d make it to retirement if I continued to work the hours I was working. I found even a weekend off wasn’t enough to recover from the week. I reduced to a .6 position ( 6 shifts instead of 10 in a two week rotation) and quit taking ‘on call’. It made all the difference and I probably could have continued to work but after two years of Covid I decided I’d had enough. Time with Bonnie is much more precious ❤

Kim I've started using Estée Lauder night serum and eye cream at 69 I wish I'd started using this years ago.I used to use Avon face creams but but found they gave me a rash and acne .😘

I never use primer either, I think my sunscreen works well as a base for foundation ❤

I’m 63 and just work 24 hours a week now over four days including one late shifts and some weekends and it’s enough and gives a better work life balance .

It's made a massive difference to how I feel and my work life balance since covid and working from home I hated the office, too hot and germs always getting ill, plus office politics now all gone, I can't see them making us go back to the office if they did i would reduce my hours too, it's not a physical job, I don't know how you manage 40 hours and using public transport would push me over the edge.

Kim I’m a year older than you and I only work 3 days a week now 9-4pm and find its perfect for me it gives me a couple of days during the week to run the home and have weekends off to spend with grandkids and family. Hope January comes around soon for you.

I've got one of those coffee grounds scrubs. Do not use it on your face as it dyes your skin brown. Took me ages to scrub it off with a nail brush. My skin was red raw afterwards. Also it makes a right mess of your bathroom. Smells nice but it's terribly messy and stains really bad.

In the hot weather keep the curtains closed when the sun is shining on the window and open them and the window when the sun moves round. At night if you can have a window open on both sides of the house it really helps the air flow.

I understand where you're coming from Kim , I used to buy winter boots from Primark every year and they would last the season this year I've bought a pair of DM''S yes they were more expensive but they will last for years !!! Its quality over quantity for sure

Hi Kim. Love your clothes. I think I prefer the second one ,but I like the first one too. You really shouldn't apologise for what you choose to spend your hard earned cash on. Trust me I fully understand having looked after and still am, numerous grandchildren, 12 hours a day,5 days a week. Blimey I've changed some nappies during that time.I'm 61 and can't see me finishing anytime soon 😩😂. Anyway Kim,it's false economy buying cheap,clothes don't last. I can see these lasting you years. Very good quality 👍. Just enjoy them, you've earned it ❤x

If you buy clothes you really love even if they are pricey you will get your moneys worth as you will wear them more often, also they will last longer so it is money well spent. If you wear the £45 blouse 22 times that is only £2 per wear and the more you wear it the more the price per wear decreases. 😊❤xx

You buy what you like. I get sick of people wearing trash from Primark . Its better to buy things a bit more expensive and wear them longer. You can see the quality, too. I buy from M&S. Also Roman Originals, which are NOT cheap! They are amazing fit and quality, though , and must of my Wardrobe are from there, now. They really DO last for a long, long time, though, so are a great buy. I don't 'follow' fashion, at 60. I know what suits me, and makes me feel good, and I buy those things...Dont be embarrassed, you work hard !!! Ive just done a wardrobe declutter and sent all my Supermarket clothes, etc, to the local Clothes bank. Many pieces had their labels in, but i just wasnt comfortable in them.

You finally got it! Quality becomes you. From now on, forget the vintage and the Primark buys - just buy quality and look ten years younger!. Your new idea sounds perfect - do it and go forward. P.S. You also look good in Next clothing. Just keep doing what you're doing and I just adore those tops.

As a change from the shopping videos how about more of your story time ones or show us how to make some art or show us some of the interesting things in your part of Yorkshire? I mainly watch for your personality and because you make me laugh. Don’t feel you have to buy more stuff than you need,and remember you can take most things back anyway.
