The move set changes with the spear. There are going to be so many weapons you should upgrade each chapter.

If you're just starting out, you're gonna need to update your gear and weapons regularly until you hit chapter 3-4. This is because you won't be able to manually upgrade your stuff until later. I'll give you some tips instead. I like to max the Twirl move to get the focus increase near the bottom of the tree. What this does is rapidly increase your focus. The game is about focus management, since that's the best way to deal damage to bosses. So , twirl on / towards bosses when you immobilize them to build your focus points, then use them during the fight. Also i like to hit once or twice, twirl for a second or two then get out. Fights go so much easier when you make use of the techniques that use focus points to do extra damage. Jump attacks, varied combos, to name a few - not just outright using the staff skills but ANY focus point related technique or techniques that use focus points let you do crazy damage compared to your normal hits. Once you shift to realizing that you need to build focus and use it, fights become a lot easier.

I have tried it does work. It's very inconsistent, and it definitely takes a little bit longer.

This video’s farm would be better then. It took him 20 seconds from leaving the shrine to getting the will. So if you did this 6 times within your 2 minutes (120 seconds) then you’re getting over 10,200 will

That's tricky, though I haven't replicated that, on average its somewhere around 2200. Another great farming spot.

This is true. Proof of residency will be required at the DLT. So you need to provide some type of document that shows that.
