178 - Totally Thames Mudlarking 2024
Totally Thames Mudlarking is back.
Loads and loads of events this year.
This September we have another series of mudlarking events planned in collaboration with the Thames Festival Trust.
Jason Mudlark & Monika Buttling-Smith, and Marie Louise Plum (Old Father Thames) have organised numerous exhibitions, talks, workshops and walks.
• 31st August - 1st September - Roman Amphitheatre in Guildhall Art Gallery, Theme: Roman London.
• 14th - 15th September - St. Paul’s Cathedral, Theme: Medieval and Stuart London.
• 28th - 29th September - Museum of London Docklands, Theme: London’s Docklands and Working River.
I will be exhibiting some of my finds on the 1st September at the Roman Amphitheater Guildhall Art Gallery. I will bring this stunning Thames find (see video) plus a few more. There will be a few other mudlarks there on the day displaying their incredible finds too.
I hope you can come along, if not on the 1st, but to any of the events listed above.
If you would like to bring a Thames find that has not been identified yet, please feel free to bring it with you. We would be happy to share our thoughts on the day. And, if you would like to see any of my old finds, I would be more than happy to bring it on the day to show you.
Also, in this video, you will see a dolphin I spotted in the Thames. That was the most incredible experience.

I need a favor. The English film The Third Secret has a scene on the Thames. You can someday show that place.t is from 1964, and the beach it shows can be detected, the tide goes out. Un abrazo desde Argentina.
The film was shot in Hammersmith, Chiswick and Kew foreshore. I have been to those areas. Please check out some of my previous videos showing the foreshore in those areas. Although they look a bit different now, you will be able to recognise the area.
