How to replace a Transfer Case Motor on a 94 Bronco
In this video, I replace my Transfer Case Motor on my 94 Ford Bronco. They started using the electronic push button 4X4 system in 93 I believe, so this should apply to any broncos and F-150s from 93 at least through 96' that have the electronic push button 4X4.

Awesome thank you, I watched other videos but they didn’t really explain much, they just fly over the important details. You explained it perfectly
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words! I am just happy the video helped!
Omg I can't stand when people talk this much. Why can't people just do the work with their hole shut?!
how’d you get your dash looking like that?
Hello! That is a reverse glow overlay I bought online a long time ago. It literally just sits on top of your stock gauges. I bought mine I believe from American Muscle.
How do I hook the wire up to my traction control button it’s not working so I’m guessing it’s not hooked ip
The lights for the traction control button, fog lights and rear defroster don't really have interchangeable bulbs really. If the light is not working, I would suggest removing the hvac bezel and confirming it is indeed connected properly. If it is and is still not working, you can solder in a led in place of the stock bulb that's hardwired in. I did it with all three of my buttons and was kind of a pain but can be done. You just have to very carefully open up each of the buttons to gain access to the bulb, cut it out, and solder in a led of your choosing. I hope this helps.
You convinced me. The headlights on my 2014 GMC Sierra are terrible.
🤣
That has to be one of the dumbest things Ford has done... Wait... 3 cylinder turbo timing belt...nevermind
🤣
So are the diodes facing up and down or left and right?
Hello, once installed in the housing the diodes are up and down.
@@brithecarguy6083hey man. When I install mine, my bulbs end up at a 1/7 orientation yet from the little bit I can see of yours, yours are sitting at a 3/9 orientation. Any suggestions? I’m getting full lock on the bulb rotating it clockwise so don’t know why mine would sit differently than yours.
@@waynetibak1828 Hey buddy, unfortunately I just recently traded the sierra in so I can't double. However, I would say if you're locked in all the way you should be good to go, that's the main thing.
Hey there, any loss of low end torque with this cat back system?
Hello, not that I can feel, however, I should mention I did tune my truck after installing this exhaust with a custom tune. I don't remember losing any low end torque though when everything was stock.
@@brithecarguy6083👍 Thanks for the reply
I hope this works I just bought a 1994 f150 5.8 and it has 0 oil pressure never moves the gauge but the last owners drove it around like that
Good luck! Luckily it's not too bad of a fix or an expensive one to try first.
Thanks for the Vid. 93 Ford Bronco here....
Thank you for watching! Nice, I love our vintage of full size broncos!
I don’t know which hole the blue wire goes in and which all the green wire goes in. Can you help at all?
Hello, so sorry I just saw this... I forget, however can look through my old pics to see if I can confirm if still needed.
Thanks
You're very welcome!
What a difference from those death trap bulbs and lighting system GM engineers designed for the 14-15 Sierra. I'll try this too. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching! Yes, they are so worth it if you do any driving at night for sure.
So far I like this one for mine 🔥
I have no regrets!
Are your cats deleted?
Hello, nope, the cats are still on there.
Thank you very much for the video!
Thank you for watching!!
I've come to the conclusion that the projectors themselves in these trucks are absolute trash. Cutoff line isn't sharp and the light is not crisp no matter what you put in them. I've had 35w and 50w morimoto HIDs in them and numerous top end LED bulbs. I've been chasing the same daylight light output and crisp cutoff results as my 2010 Subaru WRX projectors to no avail. The light pattern and scatter is so terrible in these trucks and it's so frustrating. I'm literally about to buy a second set of headlights and retrofit new projectors in them
Great video, thank you. How are those LED's holding up?
Thank you for watching and your kind words! I'm happy to say the LED's are holding up great and have had no issues with them.
@@brithecarguy6083 Do the LED's match the DRL color? Feel like my 14' Sierra is a bit more yellow-ish tint to it. Waiting to get these LED headlight & fogs once a black Friday sale comes..Thanks again!
@@johnathonwoolsey8163 Yes, you are correct, the stock DRL's do have a slightly warmer yellowish tint compared to these LEDs. So, they technically don't match, however, have not been motivated enough to change out my DRLs.... lol
how's the installation is it easy. I'm thinking of buying one wanna safe some money and do it myself lol
Honestly, I had a shop install it. Took them about an hour or so with a lift.
how did you keep it from blinking really quick like its about to go out? edit: Led electronic flasher

Thank you!
Are these 9012? Or H11?
Hello, these are H11s.
i have a 1988 f250 with the 5.8L . and i put the oil cooler from a 96 on it to try to help the engine , because its a new engine, any ways, if you have a stock oil cooler on a 5.0 or a 5.8 , it is a royal pain to change that oil switch out, ive done it a few times and i hate it, and they do make 2 different switches, you will know if you got the wrong one real quick, also, if you find the right one , make sure you get a lifetime warranty on it, you will thank me later
Thank you for commenting! Yes, it certainly was a pain to replace for sure!
@@brithecarguy6083 not a problem. also if you get a switch for the gauge and it dont work just get the one for the light. for some reasion my truck uses the one for the dummy light , but my wiring all checks out with a digital meter is within specs its a real headache
I know the pain well
So it just switches with ground?
@@kevinmeyer8540 i truly dont know why they made 2 of them . maybe some cars and trucks had a dummy light in the guages and not a guage. i just know that one switch works when it get oil pressure on it and the other goes up and down with oil pressure
Nice video thanks, what is tha little fan came with the light for .
Thank you for watching and commenting! Those fans keep the LEDs cool and prolong their life. A lot of better quality LEDs have fans built in.
Well done!! I’ve been looking for a 10 pin transfer case motor and I never thought about that thank you again you save me lots of money
Thank you for watching! I'm so glad I could help someone!
Do the day time running light still work? Because with my stock headlights they are dimmed during the day
Hello, yes, my day time running lights work the same as they did with the stock headlight bulbs. Please note that my day time running lights are the led bars and not the headlight bulb itself.
@@brithecarguy6083not sure you’ll see this but my DRLs (LED strips at top and bottom) no longer work. Any ideas wtf the issue is?
@@waynetibak1828 Hi Wayne, thank you for watching. My initial guess if both DRL's are not working that it maybe a blown fuse. My second guess would be damaged wires or wire harness. Unfortunately, I no longer own my Sierra, so I don't know the specific fuse to check. Good luck.
Awesome. Good video. Nice to see such a clean bronco going still. How many miles it got?
Thank you for watching and your kind words! I bought it a year and a half ago. It has 186,000 miles and going strong. I love it, my father had a bronco when I was kid, and have been looking for one for awhile. I follow your Instagram account, great content on there!
Hi Thank you for nice videos, have problem find correct part LED to my same Sierra. and fog led light.

Honestly wasn't aware of Eric's channel when I came up with my channel's name. This is just a part time hobby that I hope may help some people. I am by no means a mechanic. My intention is certainly not to rip anyone off.

Thank you for watching and your kind words. I will keep them coming! Thanks again!
Amazing video! What sand paper did you use I know you said you used fine sand paper but which grit? Thank you.
Thank you for watching! I believe I used 400 grit sandpaper since that is what I had on hand at the time. I have since changed the color to a blue. Doing the fog light, traction, and defroster switches was a bit of a challenge but well worth it.
@@brithecarguy6083 yeah thank you for getting back ok I was talking to a guy I seen who did this on Facebook and I was wondering how did you do the defrost, Trac control, and the fog lights we were discussing how it's a tiny bulb
@@brithecarguy6083 I am using a 600 grit and I'm going to be doing the cluster and for the shifter light it's just the bulb and no film so I'm looking forward to that
@@scuevas7 Yes, I ordered 3 of these leds from superbrightleds.com. NEO3-BHP: 3mm NEO3-xHP Blue (or whatever color you want) Take your time when opening up the switches, they are a plastic clamshell style. Once inside, I cut out the old bulb, as there is no way to replace it. I then took the lead from the new leds and soldered them to the switch. Keep in mind I had to do a little cutting and trimming inside the switch to make room for the new led. This was my first time soldering, and was pretty simple for this job. Just take your time, as this is not a simple plug and play scenario. Good luck!
@@brithecarguy6083 oh that sounds complicated lol any tips for the HVAC and the knobs it seemed easy for you to take out the clear plastic part
Hello, friend, I am a market researcher for the new US led light brand. I watched your video on CZcams and it looks so great! We now have a new series 5202 led fog light that needs to be tested to get customer feedback for it. Would you like to test them?
Any issues with those Leds?
Hello, nope not one issue so far. Thanks for watching!
I put in blue LEDs and I get a bluish tint so I didn't bother removing green from the lens. But now the red on the temperature control appears as purple. It would have been nice if the backlighting for each control had their own lamp so that I could've backlighted the temperature control with a white LED so that I could've had a better result. One other thing, I had to adjust the pins on the LEDs to get them to make an electrical contact - otherwise they wouldn't light up.
Did you have to replace the bulb socket or did you use the original?
Hello, yes, I used the original sockets. The LEDs I purchased fit the stock sockets.
How did you remove that face plate part I got a flat head on there but I can’t get anything to move
Yeah... you have to use a little bit of force. But be careful as I broke the plastic part on 2 out of the 8. Keep working at it with the flat head it will release. Good luck!
