The truly happy and successful individual is the man or woman who is healthy, financially secure, challenged in his or her career, and is making a difference in the lives of others. It isn’t always easy to render service to others. The world is a cynical and dangerous place where others are likely to mistrust your motives. They can be convinced only by consistent, sustained, outstanding service that is enthusiastically and cheerfully offered. In time, even the most cynical individual will come to accept your willingness to go the extra mile if you are sincere in your offers of assistance and in the service you provide.

Napoleon Hill’s Thought for the Day Don’t push others around if you have no blisters on your own feet. Good officers lead by example and make sure the troops are cared for before attending to their own needs. When you treat others respectfully and never ask another to do something you would be unwilling to do yourself, you are entitled to the respect of others-and they will freely give it. But you cannot expect others to continue marching until they have blisters on their feet while you ride in the jeep. Leading others means you must be willing to give far more of yourself than you would ever ask of them.

Many oblivious opportunities are found in places no one else has ventured. Leaders who need a job done think first of people they know who will do it well. If other people respect you for your work's quantity and quality, you will find yourself advancing past others who regard their jobs as drudgery. For all the extra service you've rendered, you'll find yourself more than amply compensated by opportunities others never grasp.

I was using the 28-inch batmr today, and man, after an hour, I was feeling it in my back. Not enough to hurt but enough to notice

Finally someone who runs a 500 the right way. Most people rev it out before they touch wood. Apparently that fouls the computer up. Cuts much faster with a load on it.

Im from south central PA. Long bars are not popular round here. I use 28" and 24" mostly. These are the reasons I get for short bars. 1. My weenie saw wont pull it! 2. Takes too long to sharpen 3. Chain cost more 4. Too HEAVY. 5. Don't wanna hold the saw back, off the dogs. Guys will watch me cut with a 28",can see they kinda get it. Still wont switch to a long bar.

Long bars are definitely easier on the back, night and day difference how you feel after cutting or an hour At the In- laws?
