I'm Jimi Jones, the founder of Thai Rehab Helper.
My sobriety date is May 26, 2012. My substances of choice were Xanax, Ritalin and alcohol.
I grew up in a good family but thought that using prescription drugs or anything I could buy at the store would be ok. I always thought that I was not really breaking any rules or doing any damage to anyone other than myself - that seems fine, right?
In the end I lost it all - there was no money left but I couldn’t stop using. My life became one big lie and I was hiding the extent of my addiction from everyone close to me. Today my life is honest and true. I don’t have the material things I once did but I'm happy!
The best part of recovery is the ability to feel good about the person that I am and have become. I had never felt that before in my life. I owe all of that to my recovery.

AA Speakers - Funny Beth Hartley Speaks at Alcoholics Anonymous (She talks fast!)
Beth talks about her diverse group. She speaks fast but she has the audience laughing!
She was the spectator in her own life and wasn't used to having a normal conversation when she was drunk. She felt lonely and the noise in her head was too loud.
Beth Hartley was a poster child for AA aged 17. She met her husband Chuck through Alcoholics Anonymous and they were dating after being sober for a few years. Her children are now 20 and 22 year old.
Her children grew up in AA but it's a double edged sword. She was involved in her fathers sobriety like her children are involved in hers. Beth didn't think she was a big drinker until now when she looks back and realised she was self-centred.

Hi, it's me Rebecca, your girl in pink ! My new husband of 4 yrs finally listened to you....as directed. How EPIC it was to hear your voice. Still to this day there has never been anyone who gets me like you did/do. But then I was thinking....maybe I'm not letting them which is scary ground, now that I think of it. YES, I will share that tomorrow. Thank you for all that YOU STILL ❤️ give back to this day. I miss you deeply and we are going thru the Carolinas for Vacation this year. I'm hoping to possibly maybe have dinner with you and Chuck, or even a short Hello. My husband Dan is a very spiritual, supportive loving Christian man.
