This is an observation, not a criticism. What is the purpose of the string? Why not just hot-glue the tube to the foam base to keep it from being wobbly? Also, textured white spray paint would make it look less cheaply made. I just made one for my tiny house but with halved pool noodles.
These are good ideas but for the purpose i made them I needed it as cheap as possible. I made 20 of them different heights and needed them only for one day as display holder. Good was to be cheap. Glue gun and paint would have been added costs.

I bought them at Home Depot in the concrete section. But I think they are only 6 foot tall.

Hello to all of you! How has Emile been doing? I have a lot of catching up to do! My son did Motocross for 2 years, and we loved it! My Grandson will be 4 in March, and I already have him watching Emile's videos! (And I already have a bike for him, it's a surprise!) I hope he can ride as good as Emile!

Dora Tavarez you can by this at any store who sells fast concrete. The tube is in same spot and is usually used to fill with concrete in ground.

Thanks Emilie 55 I found the quikrete forming tubes at Home Depot and Lowes. I found them to be under $20.00 from 16 " to 8 " x 48 ". Perfect for my budget. This was a great video tutorial and I can expand on my project. Thanks for making it. FYI Someone wanted to rent me 3 pillars for $100 each! BIG SAVING

Did you cut the form tube? if yes what size?
i think it's the original size. they come in 48 inches and vary in diameter. some are 9 inches in diameter and other 12 inches. his looks like 48 inches.

"Im sweating like hell!" lol....love it! I would finish this off with the faux stone spray paint/texture. And I would attach thin pieces of wood to the foam for stability and add weight inside column somehow.

It is a paper board used to fill round concrete in the ground. Easy to get at home depot.
