I am sorry to report that I don't think this feature is on that particular camera.

I use both Capture One Pro and Lightroom Classic, but for different use cases. Lightroom Classic is better suited for drone images, especially for individual images of 360x180° spherical panoramas (sky vs. ground masking and synchronizing adjustment settings for each mask). However, Capture One Pro is superior in almost all other use cases. In addition, the user experience with a fully customizable interface (modules) is much better.

Thank you for the tips! However I'm trouble shooting a camera connection issue. I've updated C1, my camera firmware, the tether cord, restart my computer a million times, removed the memory card from the camera and my nikon z72 will still not read in C1. I sent my camera to nikon a few months ago for maintenance and to replace my sensor, ever since I got it back I haven't been able to tether. Tried googling how to set my camera for capturing rather than storing and haven't had luck. Hope you can help. Thank you!

Very helpful video. As a note for next time, when you zoom into tools like at 2:56, keep the background the same brightness and unblurred. You want to point the focus on the sliders, but they are big enough, I see them, but it'd be very beneficial if we could see the actual changes the sliders are making.

The integration of Generative AI into Lightroom's Remove Tool is nothing short of revolutionary. It's like having a digital artist embedded in your software, capable of flawlessly removing unwanted objects and seamlessly filling in the background with stunning accuracy. This technology not only saves time but also elevates the creative process, allowing photographers to focus on their artistic vision without being bogged down by tedious editing tasks. The potential for innovation and creativity with this tool is truly mind-blowing, and I appreciate you being the shepherd in the valley of darkness when it comes to new Adobe updates.

Great video! Very informative! Can a sony 6300 be tethered on capture one?
Thank you for watching. I am not sure. I think CP1 has a spec sheet someplace, but I don't have a unit to test out.
My real question is about presets. Can capture one use lightroom presets? If it does I can finally stop pirating Lightroom once and for all.
To the best of my knowledge, no, CP1 can't use LRC presets.
@@PhotoKitchen425 After asking around, I found a preset converter from Picture Instruments!
I've always felt the 50 is MEH. So, I bought one (Sony 50 1.2) and used it for almost a year (last year) to see if that opinion changed. The beginning of this year, I sold it. I still feel it MEH. It's a jack of all trades and master of none.
Not going to disagree with that at all. I am 50/50 on the 50mm, but there are times where it really shines. I just found a image from a shooter 4 years ago that I shot on a 55mm and I really loved it. I can see how there is love and meh on the 50. Thank you for watching.
When I right click on the photo, only the "Remove from Collection" option appears. When you click on the "Photo" section in the menu above, the options "Remove from Collection", "Remove Selected Photo From Collection", "Remove Photo From Catalog" and "Delete Rejected Photos" appear. I cannot delete photos from Disk.
Try viewing the image in the catalog, not the collection. That should allow you to delete the image.

Great Video 😊 Thanks
Thank you so much for watching!
Great video, just wanted to chime in on the last bit at the end, although ignore me if you've figured it out since!😆 You *can* edit multiple images directly at once, but you have to use the "Speed Edit Keys", you can't just use the sliders. This caught me out for ages as you would think "Edit Selected" would do just that but it doesn't, which is silly I agree. But when you use the "Speed Edit Keys", by holding down the shortcut key (E for brightness for example) and *then* use the slider you want to adjust (or the arrow keys), you can adjust all the images you have selected at the same time. I don't know if it works on every adjustment, but it will with the ones that have keys assigned. The default keys for the "Speed Edit Keys" are in a sub-menu in the Keyboard Shortcuts menu. It still doesn't do everything that LR's Auto Sync does, like the metadata stuff, but you can at least multi-edit. C1 is kinda bad at telling you that this stuff even exists to be honest. p.s; in one of your other videos you talked about being able to set star ratings but not color ratings on multiple images at once, again if you use keyboard shortcuts for the colours it'll change all the photos you've got selected together. Clicking to change will only affect that one photo. I can see the logic as to why, but i wish it was a bit more obvious.
Thank you for watching and the advice. I know about the "Speed Edit Keys", but I think it is a terrible work around. But you are 100% right that they work, as well as color label. I just want CP1 to be consistent in the interface. Say what you will about Adobe, and I have a list, they are super consistent in the design of LRC.
A small note about the 35 being close to a 40 field of view but a little wider.... If you ever make prints in the old formats, 5x7, 8x10, the 35mm excels. The side cropping means the 35 performs like a 40 does in the 2x3 format of the sensor. Please don't take my 35mm away! You already took my Kodachrome!
Thank you for watching. I and have no part in the taking of Kodachrome or the 35mm.
@@PhotoKitchen425 LOL! Great comparison. Thanks. It was so good that I ordered the 35mm Z 1.8 for my Nikon Z8! My old F-Mount 35mm f/2.0 manual lens just didn't make sense.
Sounds like a great purchase @@kengeorge6965 Thank you for watching.
Did the same, but didn't go so far back in time. I picked up a used Pro-10 pack and a ProHead. Totally agree that the flat-face monolights are great for travel and work will with certain modifiers. But they're no match to a pack & head system across Profoto's full line of modifiers. Pack heads have an exposed flash tube that do a much better job filling larger modifiers. The flat-face units already have a built-in reflector that works well, but also limits its ability to fill a modifier larger than about 36-inches. Also a caveat on Profoto ProHeads... In 2023 Profoto changed the connector end on new ProHead production to meet EU requirements. The new connector still works with Pro-8 thru Pro-11 packs, but not with older packs. This also applies to old vs new ProHead extension cables.
Thank you for watching, and they heads up on the older pack to new head connection. At this point, I will probably be buying a 8A in my future, but that is about as far I would need to go.
What about on a crop sensor?
I am going to try to NOT sound like an arrogant photo snob when I say this, but I am not a crop sensor shooter, so I am not sure. The definition of crop sensor varies, but you might take the crop factor of your sensor and then find the 35 and 50mm equivalent. Sorry I can be of more help. Thank you for watching.
There are some good technical notes about crop sensors on the web. I shot a 1.5x Nikon APC for a few years. A 24 becomes a 36... A 35 becomes a 52.5. For depth of field, they are not as shallow as on a full sized sensor. Meaning, a 1.4 lens on a crop sensor performs about like a 2.0. Therefore, if you want to separate the background, you have to get a really large aperture lens. But, because often a crop sensor camera is a lower priced camera, they don't make really big 1.0 aperture lenses to give you the 1.4 equivalent. I shot 4x5 back in the 70's. A 4.5 f number on that lens was super shallow. Google depth-of-field articles vs. sensor size and focal length. Aside from depth of field difference, all of the perspective discussion from the video work. Just do the math and use a 24 vs 35 for your photography. You'll have the same "perspective." Great video discussion.

Thank you for watching!
Great and informative video! I have a 24mm and 50mm prime lens. I wish I had a 35mm on many occasions.
I had the 24mm for a few months, and found it was too wide for portraits, but not wide enough for landscapes. I ended up selling it, and getting a 20mm. I do wonder if having a wider zoom would be a good idea, but I hate the weight of a the 14-24 and just don't have a need that often for it, so it is a 35/50 combo for me . . .for the moment. Thank you for watching.
Nice run down on both focal lengths! I love those two prime lenses and own both as well.

Maybe it’s just me but the spot removal tool in Capture One is inferior to Light Room Classic
I think it has been greatly improved to be sure, but I agree, LRC still have the better tools.
@@PhotoKitchen425 I gave and will continue to give Capture One a go but LRC + PS is still goat in my opinion. I do like Capture One sharpening and rendering on Nikon NEFs
For me CP1 is all about production, and if you need that level of production, it is totally worth it @@NickBelt . But many people don't need advanced tethering support, or high end export features, so LRC is a better app for many.

How about this idea similar to what you did in this video. Use the point curve for contrast set as "medium contrast." Then save the adjustment as a user preset only saving the "point curve" with the amount slider. Then when you select the preset, you can adjust the amount of contrast using the preset slider.
