What were the dimensions of this tank?
Bro, had my BMC5 for almost 2yrs and its always been very finicky and overflowing. I just tried your method and lifted it up until the right level occurred. I was a 1/8 needed. I tried it and BOOM!! It worked!!! Perfectly!! Thank you!!
Hey, not to be a smart ass but isnât what you did common sense. I figured that out two months into getting my first Protein skimmer. I canât believe that thereâs people out there that have tanks that canât figure out how to properly run a skimmerâŠ
Taking 2 months to figure something out doesnât sound like common sense lol
@@yourfellowreefer7145 maybe I failed to mention thatâs two months into the hobby as well.. And just a tweak the skimmer sometimes it takes more than two months
Nice!
đ
Tank size
Any long term review? Does it really grown chaeto?
Great tank! What are the dimensions?
Dont buy this skimmer. I have same issue and mine just blasts microbubbles everywhere
my flame angel bonded with my clownfish
Yes i set up 65g with 20g sump and my curve 5 making same problem. I end up adding 3 1/2 high 2 in PVC pipes on each legs now it's skimming much better .. thx for the tips.. đ
Perché il mio non schiuma cosÏ .....
Cosa mi consigli?
Perché il mio non fa cosÏ tanta schiuma?
Sorry for your losses. Beautiful tank though. Would love to hear an update. Iâm in the process of building a 57g 36âx24âx20â lagoon-ish mixed reef with 20g sump. I want to do mostly softys and was looking for inspiration for the aquascape - yours helped a lot! Hopefully you have time to post an update.
Still using tap water?
In general most angelfish like to be the only angelfish in the tank especially smaller tanks. If you have a larger tank you could probably have a few dwarfs but introduce them at the same time.
On the right side of your tank, what is that bush looking plant. That is beautiful?
its totally built wrong send it back or modify it... stop complaining
Hey Dan ! It turns out it was just new in sump and had to adjust and settle in, had this for a few years now not complaining at all ! Thanks though !
Any under water Venturi will eventually clog . This is where the it line connects too .
The Venturi is salt creep clogged.
That's a NICE upgrade. Looking GREAT!
Thanks !
4:28 Flame goes after the CBâŠletâs edit that out.
Sorry I donât understand or see what youâre talking about :(
At 4:23 you see the flame suddenly take off. A few seconds later around 4:27, 4:28 on the right side you can see the reflection of the Flame chasing out the CB. Maybe the CB was in his territory. Heâs not happy with the CB being there but he knows heâs the boss and has established hierarchy in the tank.
@@toXicKnowLedGe yea that might happen with any fish I didnât even catch that making this video good eye ! Lol. Unfortunately, this tank has been broken down now for a little while. I now have a Red Sea 350 that Iâll post soon
What K your halide color temp is ?
How-is-your-tank-still-alive?!?! You didnât use distilled or RODI water thatâs crazy and your still successful you either have really good water quality or proved everyone wrong and showed them itâs possible đ±
I've found some good deals on coral at petco. Keep up the good work! I subbed =D
There's one petco about an hour and a half from me that is a really nice one.... also just found a LFS near me that I will definitely be going back to...as they had a nice selection of SW as well as FW stuff, and all of the tanks amd livestock looked well cared for and healthy. Picked up a pair of clownfish that are in QT right now, for my daughter's Fluval Evo 13.5g... and some freshwater multies... Thanks for the videos of the lagoon, this is great inspiration for what can be done in a small/shallow-ish tank, woth a couple good LED strips... I'm looking to set up a couple tanks once the Evo 13.5g is done, one 40 Breeder, and then eventually the QT tank will be it's own permanent system I think, when we are done with QT... I will always have a spare 10 or 20 around in case need arises for QT or hospital... Thanks for the inspiration...
I'm looking into some Current USA lighting, or the Fluval Sea Marine 3.0 strips... don't want the pendant type of lighting... I will look through your channel, but do you have any long term input on the Orbit lights?
I'm looking into the Current USA stuff...for a couple tanks. Which tank is that?
25 gallon lagoon đ
If you still there. I started up my 75 gallon tank. I added my water conditioner and salt To the tank. Is my filter and wave maker enough filtration to mix the salt in water?
That fish is looking for hair
Can we get a update
Simple, I love it
they only nip different corals, i can see what type of soft corals you have. they eat scollys and lps
Thanks for sharing. I just got a 25 lagoon and will be using a similar aquascape as well as frag racks around the outer edges. This gives me some good ideas.
Visually so appealing and gorgeous. Where do you live?
Curious on how you did the refugium set up back there ? And did it end up working?
The on off switch is on the transformer !
Just bought this like becouse I liked your tank so much! Got 2 lights, a wave maker and the brackets for 135$ on black friday! Hope to make my tank look close to yours. Do you mind sharing what setting you had them on if you still remeber?
I honestly think all these diva requirements are just a way for the businesses involved to make more money. Iâve been running a 90 gallon reef tank for 5 years now on tap water, prime, a cheap led light and an old school eheim classic. I donât jump at the next fancy equipment. Yet my corals are lush, the fish are happy, and no, I donât do weekly water changes. If anything, I do top-offs and a 30% water change once a month just because I vacuum the substrate. Other than that, I just laugh at all these so called experts hawking their wares to the public and writing the holy bible of reef keeping. Thanks for what you do. It shows the rest of the world it doesnât take a rocket scientist on a mega budget to enjoy a quality reef tank.
Beautiful đđđ
how much TDS is i. your water
Awesome setup
Bro your soapfish doesnât eat any of the small fish ? I wanna keep mine in a reef but he has ate a male tomato clown, 2 damsels, and 2 diff type of gobies
Great video got this stuff for my 136 gallon mixed reef I had my doubts with phosphate I'm hoping it isn't partly oyster grit and 100% actual crushed coral. But seeing as you have no GHA I can see I'm assuming it doesn't leach phosphates thank for the video!
im keeping mine in a 25 gallon with a fire goby and clown fish
Joshua Vavrin ah might be a little to small josh
Your Fellow Reefer they seen fine so im not worried my flane angel is always swimmin so hes happy my clown fish stays in his anemonea and the fire goby stays in the rocks
Joshua Vavrin yea just as he gets older I would just suggest to keep an eye out

Size tank?
I do think RODI isn't necessary. Particularly with soft corals. Too many people say RODI is essential. I would like them to explain how people have been keeping marine aquariums well before RODI was around. There is a difference between RO water and RODI water DI deionizer so basically takes out all the stuff you're going to be putting back in stuff you have to pay money for. Using RO can be helpful but DI is unnecessary.
IF YOU PRICE THE WHOLE CORAL DISPLAY YOU CAN HAVE A SAME DAY TANK SETUP FROM SCRATCH ANYTIME - ALL CORALS PLUS 2 LARGE BAGS OF WATER AND GO - PETCO ALL IN ALL WIN : THEN A FISH RANGE AND SHRIMP ETC - PROBABLY $500 : 3 FT TANK - 2 CORAL MOUNDS IN THE TANK - CIRCULATION PUMPS - LED LIGHTING - FILTER ETC - STAND - $1000 SETUP *** $1000 Ă· 365 DAYS = $2.73 / $2.74 A DAY *** THAT'S GOOD BUSINESS AND MATHS -WITH 52 WATER CHANGES A YEAR * đ *
i have 169 ppm in my tap water is that too much? i live in Sweden
