@@sameermadan7632 I think I did mention that the Qutub Minar was built on the site of a former fortified city, so yes, you are probably right. My video is only depicting my family's trip and is not meant to be a comprehensive historical documentary. I had to rely on Google and Wikipedia for some of the historical data.

I agree! I could almost confine myself to only buying Leonardo pens, if they weren't so pricy. So I only buy one, now and then. The Aquapetra is about to be sold out, which is why I went on and got it. It DOES remind me of wildflowers, growing in a field. Thank you for commenting. 0:01

@@jeffreyclayman6922 oh yes; it began cracking not long after I got it. Hongdian sent out a replacement cap, although I haven't even used it, because the crack hasn't gotten any wider or deeper and it has never affected the ability of the nib to stay lubricated. I love this pen. If you're undecided on whether or not to buy one, I definitely recommend it, as long as you can accept that the cap may crack. The theory was that these pens first shipped during the cold winter weather, and temperature extremes occurred, and that's why the crack developed. How true that is, is anyone's best guess.

The temple that's between the mountains doesn't look real. It's like it's a movie set or a creation of AI.

Yes, the opening hours are to encourage visitors to come very early; or very late; since it is very peaceful there at those times, and the rising or setting sun creates interesting shadows on the stones. It's a place of relaxation.

Definitely I would like it better, as a piston filler. Hum...my favorite Hongdian pen...right now it's the D5 Qin Dynasty, because of its' looks and its' springy nib. I'm very fond of the N8 Maple Leaf 🍁 also, because it's pretty and its' medium nib is a smooth writer.

The stories behind the actual people are just as fascinating. Apparently, Emperor Akbar had three favorite wives; or consorts; one Turkish, one Hindu, and one Christian. And he had special buildings constructed for each wife; the Rumi Sultana for the Turkish wife, a chapel for the Christian wife, and a palace for the Hindu wife. Pragmatically speaking; Akbar probably made strategic political alliances by taking wives from such different religious backgrounds.

I have long fingers, so that's why the section feels short for me. The Pelikan pens are the same. When I bought my first Pelikan, I kept getting ink on my fingers and; at first; didn't realize that I was gripping too close to the nib. I had to train myself to adjust where I grip the pen.

It really was. I love to travel; when I can; and see new places. There's nothing else like it.

Possibly, the pen is ink starved. Some pen designs allow the feed to dry out. Nothing you can really do about that, except write with the pen every day, or be prepared to prime the feed and nib with ink before writing. In a cartridge/converter pen, use bottled ink, not a cartridge. Some pens don't do well with cartridges. Alternatively, mabe the nib groove is too tight, which will not allow the free flow of ink. A brass shim can be inserted in the groove like flossing teeth; to widen the groove. ( A last resort is to make short downward strokes; pressing firmly; to hopefully widen the groove. This also has the potential to ruin the nib, so use this method with caution. ) I can't overstate the importance of choosing the proper ink. Some inks are 'dry' and don't seem to properly lubricate the feed and nib. I've had pens that wouldn't write with a dry ink, that wrote like a different pen when inked with a wet or free flowing ink. The difference is literally the difference between night and day. Some inks I can recommend are the Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku, Nahvalur Atlantic Blue and Nahvalur Starry Night, Franklin Christoph Blue 72, Diamine Classic Green, Aurora Turquoise, and J.Herbin Kyanite du Nepal. The tines may be slightly misaligned but you said you had tuned the pen, so I won't go into that.

Someone told me that its probably elastic definition. I didn't hear that before. And that i have to just polish the nib every time that happens till it will be permanent

@@stathkon No, you shouldn't have to adjust the nib every time. If it's a pen ordered through Amazon, see if you can return it for a refund or replacement. If it's an expensive pen, send it to a nibsmith. If it's a Chinese pen, I'd guess you'll have to keep it, because of the cost and difficulty in trying to return it, although you can notify the seller of your problem and if they're good people, they may send you another pen or a replacement nib.

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 i am really confused and disappointed. Today it happened again with gioia. An expensive pen with jowo nib. I have tuned it about 5 times! Writes smooth and next day i listen a sound on paper, them try to polish for a few minutes and then its on. Till next time. ..

@@stathkon mabe it's the paper. You need fountain pen friendly paper; Tomoe River, Clairefontaine, Iroful, Rhodia.

It actually wasn't that expensive; considering the price of Italian made fountain pens. It was briefly offered at a discount price, and I had rewards points with the company; for other purchases I'd made with them. If not for that; it wouldn't have been a purchase that I'd have felt comfortable with.

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 : you were lucky and must have been so delighted that you could get it. I checked the retail price and it seems fair for such a lovely, carefully made pen, just too much for me. I assume it is made by turning, a craft process, and the resin and attention to detail are very special. Using a quality steel nib instead of a gold one helped keep the price down, probably without much if any effect on writing experience.

Yes, the traffic is nerve wracking; not so much that there is a lot of traffic but the fact that people just drive in all directions. There is no regard for following a designated lane. There were times when we were in a tuk tuk; or auto rickshaw; that I could have touched the cars beside me. You definitely need to keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle, at all times.

I agree with all of your comments. I'm pretty gentle with my pens, so I'm not worried about it cracking, unless I were to drop it! And then I'd be very sad. 😔 I really look forward to getting a new Chinese pen. Because they don't break my budget, I don't feel so much guilt at buying one; now and then.

The expensive ones from other countries are beyond my reach. It’s exciting to see new models coming out, continually improving and breaking new ground. I’ve “pen-fected” friends and even my doctor and now they’re fountain pen enthusiasts too. There’s no going back to skinny, generic, hard-writing ball points or rollerballs after experiencing the beautiful, effortless glide of a favorite fountain pen with a favorite ink.

I did have fun! To quote Rich; from River City Pens; " any day at a pen show is a good day." I hope you will make it to a pen show soon. The D.C.Show is in August and the Orlando show is in September. There are many others that I don't know the dates of. Google Pen Shows, and find one near you!

@@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 That's such a good quote! I love that. I wanted to try to go to the DC Show in August, but I have had some big chronic health issues sadly. I am slowly getting better but it will take quite a while. So I have decided that I will just save up so that I can go next year! I did get to go to the Ohio Pen Show last year, which was great fun. Loved meeting all the awesome people and seeing some beautiful pens.

That's how I STILL feel. It's best to hold out and not buy anything, right away. Wait until it's almost time to leave and then if there's a pen or bottle of ink that's still intruding on your thoughts, and if you know you'll likely never seen that pen anywhere again; then buy that one pen, or ink. Most of the brand name pens will nearly always be available later on, so there's no hurry to buy one.
