This is the only bridge I've ever been freaked out on while driving over it a few years back. I think it was the combination of the steep grade, very low side walls and height that did me in. I was very happy to get to the other side, and actually took a different route back to avoid it. If you've got even mild gephyrophobia, this is definitely not the bridge for you.

This is a very scarry bridge..

I have been over this bridge countless times .Are you scaredy-cats that scared to drive on a bridge that is 200 feet high in the air? give me a break. It’s not that bad and I’ve done it on my motorcycle numerous times as well. Don’t give me this crap its scary. Grow a set

Hey, that was a nice rest stop. That's nicer than the ones in NC an VA. It's like you're on vacation, looking at the water. My parents and I used to live in Tampa from my ages 4-5. My dad used to drive us to my great aunt's house in St. Petersburg and I remember it took us around 45 minutes to get there. Based on the length of this video just going over the Skyway, this is probably about right.

I remember driving over the old bridge, driving over the old bridge would make you nervous. I Drove over the new bridge a few times and It makes me nervous, as well. What a Beautiful site. I love the Sunshine State. Thanks for sharing.

I just kept wanting to squeal, “Pan right! Pan right!” because I wanted to see Anna Maria Island. :) Been flying into Tampa, and driving to AMI since 80’s. Paradise ❤️❤️❤️ But this bridge always makes me anxious.

With our business, my husband and I have to drive this bridge on almost a daily basis. I am deathly afraid of heights and I always make him drive in the lanes that are nearest to the center of the bridge. But, I am still white knuckling it all the way across until we get back on to firm land again. It is beautiful to look at, but it scares the bejeepers out of me every time we have to drive it.

I have Traveled on Skyway bridge a few times. I was driving up the bridge while a Bird seemed like was flying near me Well. When I was as high as the Bird and just saw the Sky, Weird feeling. Did Not like that. And this is the New Skyway bridge. The old one Fell into the water years ago. I remember that. Beautiful Bridge. But Not driving on it anymore. 😁🙏

Don’t think I could do this..been on Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and Chesapeake Bay Bridge too. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge ( by Annapolis) is scary for me. They even have signs saying if needed there are people who will drive for you. This video is very nice , thanks for sharing.

When i lived in St. Pete, we used to fish off the old bridge. New bridge is awesome.

Went over the old one during a storm with waves crashing over the sides…been on this one twice(not by choice) scared the life out of me.😊

I just LOVE this bridge and the vast expanses of water all around it... I've been living in Miami for 12 years but every time we go to Tampa to visit my wife's family I look forward to driving over it... This is one of the most beautiful bridges I have ever seen and if it was longer and taller it would be even better 🙂🙂🙂

The old skyway was worse. Steeper climb & metal grate across the top & you could see through to the water below. Hated it!

Rode on the back of a Harley over this bridge 2 times. It was scary.

I remember the day the accident that damaged the old bridge. Going over this new one & seeing it is scary.Look at the distance!!! drove this MANY times.

I have been over that scary bridge many times. It felt like my car was going to flip backwards when I got to the top.

Made me homesick for Florida. Drove over this bridge several times. Never bothered me which was surprising because I used to have horrible anxiety and panic attacks. Now with medication I totally enjoyed the beauty of it all. A number of people had ended their lives jumping from the highest point. 26:22
