With increased ridership on the 7 Line for the US Open 2024, multiple brands use it as an advantage to promote themselves with large advertisement wraps on the exterior of one or multiple train sets. Seen here, R188 7471-7475 was given a full body ad wrap for the marketing company HubSpot.

Full Length R46 and R179's on the Rockaway Park Shuttle to Broad Channel

On summer weekends, Rockaway Park Shuttle service is extended from Broad Channel to Rockaway Blvd, and runs full length trains. However, construction on the tracks where C trains relay south of Euclid Avenue forced them to relay at 80 St-Hudson St, which is where the extended Rockaway Park Shuttle trains usually relay. Track replacement to keep the White Plains Road elevated structure in a State of Good Repair resulted in weekend 2 train service being diverted over the Dyre Avenue line between East 180 St and Eastchester-Dyre Av. In the Fall season, the R30/R42 Rail Adhesion Train “Gel Train” makes its way along lines that have lots of trees along the right-of-way, to reduce the amount of wheel slip caused by fallen leaves.
