Thank you for giving me peace of mind!
Glad to hear!
1 part portable needs you to prime the tpo first, and you should go up whatever you're priming an inch. Otherwise, it won't bond fully and will just crack open along the edges...
Oh thank you so much for this video. It aswered alot of my question. What iam wondering how do I know its not my window too. If it is coming thru my winow has it done damage to the wall inside of it between the inside and outside
That is what an inspection or water testing will help us determine, you can try to peel back some siding yourself and see....
T1-11 is the absolute worst siding , nothing worse, it lasts 5-15 years and that is it after that rotting holes and edges. Extremely low budget.

Hi I've recently had External wall insulation done I have the same problem on my terrace house what should I do? The guttering and roof is not leaking it's wind driven rain falling directly on the wall
Hi @user-or5mo4kd8u Is your wall properly weatherproofed after having insulation done? It is more than okay to have water on your siding. This video is just to demonstrate why we should have siding, proper weatherproofing, head flashings over our windows, and other measures in place to keep our building dry for the days that the wind drives rain against the building. If your building envelope was built properly to keep water out, there's no need to be worried.
@@j2consultants thankyou soo much. I'm not sure about weatherproof, the render is silicone render and I have normal guttering it's a terrace house over 100yrs built
@@user-or5mo4kd8u Oh wow! What area are you in? We'd be happy to take a look if you want to send us some photos of the building. hello@j2consultants.com. We talk more about weather proofing on our webinar, The Building Doctor Show. It's free! learn.j2consultants.com/building-dr-show
What about apt's
Apartments are very similar to condos, they just have one owner instead of many individual owners. Do you have any specific questions about your apartment windows?
Stress fractures lol it’s the wood swells when wet opening the grain and the paint cut it back put a pad stone under and an adjustable screw support leg if wanted to make it last longer. Probably got the same in my garden atm if I was bothered to look
It's called ROT Even a Lansxaper knows that Timber exposed to Dirt will eventually ROT
I am in the middle of a condo project. I wish the contractors would provide homeowners information about maintenance.
Who cares if it’s fragile, it’s still diverting water away
The issue we were seeing on this property was a lot of broken pieces from various windstorms, soccer balls, etc. In this case, it was not diverting water away.
How does something like this even get fixed
I reported rot as a maintenance guy and ended up getting everyone fired by accident and wasting their time and money
Sounds like there's a story there... 🍿
Without watching the video, I'm going to guess that wind driven rain is rain that is driven by the wind. Amirite?
Ding ding ding!

Thank you thats very helpful
Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Fact that you're just doing that with your buddy under it says everything
what is that actually though
Good question! Excess moisture can get trapped within surfaces like a wall or beam and can cause paint to "bubble up" like this since it loses its adhesion to the surface.
@@j2consultants ok
Just a reminder, infrastructure is built by the lowest bidder
unfortunately, this is often true
Church looks like a bad design
it's a little tired, but we're making it fresh again! Will update when it's done.
What is the brand of the mositure meter you use and trust?
@@christineengblom6775 We use delmhorst moisture meters. We’ve done a lot of testing and these are our favorite www.delmhorst.com/moisture-meters/fx-2000
It appears to be old school particle board. It only requires a small amount of moisture for it to decay into sawdust. Terrible product, even for interior finishes. The newer chip board and composite boards have phenolic resins that are water resistant and possess greater strength in both exterior and interior uses.
No
Wow, they are lucky both that the tiles didn't cave in and that they had you to help amend the situation in a way that'll make sure it'll be stable now! A roof that works correctly, is super important, especially in our rainy area. Keep up the good work! 👌
Soooo many important issues to understand. What a really helpful demonstration. I also appreciate the concise and short video too, good job! 👏
You're very welcome!

I see a screwdriver, a corroded wall and what looks like insulation on the top left... Somebody please fill me in. What are we looking?
will they be doing any heavy demolition? breaking washroom wall tiles? or can they open up walls from the opposing side, or even corridor? (I have nice tiled shower)
