The key thing here is it’s not on a like for like basis. Author confirms 4k native on the 4070 and upscaled on the xbx. Which makes better sense. 4070 is almost 2x performance with 3x the power. So basically you upscale with 4070 is 60fps but also better quality as the base resolution will be higher and obviously dlss is vastly superior to any other upscaler. So 2x performance at a cost in the region of £1200 if like for like and 4070 has frame gen on top so your basically 3x frame rates.

Shit so I wasn't imagining things, series x really is a bit sharper. I first noticed it in the lobby, immediately apparent on clothing textures, but some areas of the world as well. Because the resolution is technically the same I wasn't sure. It's not a huge difference by any mean, I was only able to notice it while swapping between the two consoles. Once the game is going they're really identical though.
