Yes totally, this is an amazing tip!!! I was getting stressed just at the thought of having to work on commissions most of the time instead of working on my personal projects, I would much rather have a fulfilling part-time on the side that doesn’t require me to force and pressure my creativity for money and use the rest of my time to have full control over my art. I also realized the times in which I did have some sort of part-time jobs (that took me like 5 hours a day) I was MUCH more inspired, productive and motivated when I got home! That’s an amazing tip for to avoid burning out, thank you for that!!!

i think i love Amie the most, from all the guests you had so far on your podcast. Ive been following her already for over a year and she is so fresh and genuine. The only thing that doesnt resonate for me is the fact that i need to create in order to feel nourished inside, so its mainly for the purpose of connecting with myself. As an autistic person, extremely sensitive, this is key for my wellbeing.

Having several income streams to take the pressure off of art creation is such great advice Kat! I can definitely relate. When I am under pressure, I get very stressed and freeze up. It is definitely not productive. 💖🤗

I know I need to look into multiple income streams just not sure how to go about it. I'd like to put myself out there for interior designers, but I have no clue where to find them. Where do you begin for people like myself who are not apart of that world.

I love your content, you're very inspiring. I agree to just be calm about the things you want to have. Ofcourse we need to work for it but shouldn't worry too much. As a person I am extremely anxious. i question "will they like my art? Will it sell?" as fear of most artists. But i needed to remind myself that i need to trust my vision and myself in the process. When you do the work, and you're just cool, things will come out good naturally.

Thank you sharing this, Ekatarina. I would be interested to hear how you bounced back from having a show where no art sold as I recently experienced this. Did you end up exhibiting those pieces from that show elsewhere and did you eventually end up selling them later? What was confusing to me about my own experience is that I gained recognition with press and placement in art competitions with the work that I exhibited in my show. I felt like I did all that could to make it a success and am feeling a bit at a loss as to how to proceed without income coming in to offset the costs I put into that exhibit.
