I'm not super familiar with love2d, but does xoff = (sw - (dimensions["w"] * 24 * scale))/2 work?
thanks so much for trying to help! i have only seen this after solving but i ended up scrapping xoff and rethinking it and got it working with x = (sw / 2) + ((i2-1-dimensions["w"]/2)*24*scale)
