If they were smartthey could save them all by putting in a target, a Costco, or a Home Depot or Lowe's right on that property and one or all of the vacant flagship store spaces. If eastfield Mall management wants to save them all they should consider pursuing these opportunities.

Kind of sad, there used to be 6 thrving malls in the Springfield area. Now two are gone, two are dead, one is barely even an indoor mall anymore. Holyoke Mall is pretty much the only legit mall left in the area.

America got way over-saturated with malls starting in the 1970s and especially in the '80s. It wasn't sustainable especially with big-box stores and online shopping today.
