Red Light S.O.S. - Live Entertainment Workers Being Left Behind?
With the deadline of July 31st closing in for the ending of the $600 Emergency Unemployment benefits, live event workers are facing a financial crisis that needs attention now. While the rest of the country is starting to re-open, our industry isn't expected to come back in full swing until Spring 2021.
In this video I talk about the jobs it affects, the workers, and how it is an integral part of the U.S. Economy as a whole.
I also talk about the Night Of Lights over in Europe as our fellow workers overseas try to draw some awareness for their side of the pond as well.
To help extend the extra $600 Pandemic unemployment benefits, please share this video and more importantly, call your senators and local representative and ask them to extend the benefits until the end of this pandemic. Phone numbers are listed at the links below.

3 pin DMX is also standard and is used just as much if not more than 5 pins. Pins 4 and 5 do not send signals. 5 pin DMX is primarily used to keep confusion from mixing up DMX and audio cables.
The 3 pin XLR is not a standard and actually prohibited according to the standard. Pins 4 and 5 are reserved for 'future use' and is sometimes used for transmitting power or other types of data. To avoid confusion, the standard flipped direction (female --> male instead of male --> female with audio)
