With the blessing of the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion of Blessed Memory, the first divine services were held at the newly opened Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox 'Mission' in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on February 3, 2012.
Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Christian Church is a growing, vibrant community of Orthodox believers located in the Valley of Virginia. We are a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia within the Eastern American Diocese. Services are conducted primarily in English with some Slavonic.
Our website serves as a 'front door' to the life of our local church. With the exception of the weekly schedule, news and events are highlighted on our Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram page and within our blog. Church Yard Sale
In this life we sure do gather a lot of stuff! When Matushka and I moved 7 years ago we lived in a small rental for a year as we completed the build of our log cabin. We built a log cabin because it is supposed to be more natural and healthier for us. During that time we decided to rent a 10x20 storage unit for some of items that we wanted to save for our new home and couldn’t fit in the rental house. We just couldn’t cram the rest of our treasures in the 10x20 storage rental! And so of course we sorted through all of our items that we weren’t going to need any longer or didn’t have a use for at this stage in our lives and found a new home for them or donated them to Mercy House.

So when he is talking about that verse in Psalms 45 I assume he is talking about Psalms 45:17 which reads: “I will bring honor to your name in every generation. Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.” If we read in context, the very first verse says “Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.” Psalms 45:1 So as you can see, the psalmist is not talking about mary, he is writing about the king and is God given authority and line of rule. This is why it’s important to read the whole chapter friends ❤
