You should take a smell of Terre D’Hermes Eau Givree. If you don’t mind spending a little more then try Parfums De Marley Perseus. Prominent grapefruit and very long lasting. You will not be disappointed.
@@ibg4016 I love both of those! Far superior grapefruit perfumes.
Loving your reviews! I finally tried all three of the new bottles and I agree with everything you've said. The lemon and honeysuckle in the new EDP was way more prominent than I ever remember it being before, and yes the new EDT was literally gone from my skin in minutes. Not that the EDT was ever a powerhouse but never was it as faint as this, nor as floral. I guess they're trying to make it more seductive? If so this feels pointless because to me Cristalle was always seductive by not trying in any way to be seductive. That was it's beauty.
@@Knoxy598 glad you’re enjoying your time here :) mmhmm they’ve definitely been bled out of the delicious galbanum which makes Cristalle magic, and provides much of that understated sex appeal you mentioned. Especially in the edt it needs it badly because the profile is light enough as it is. Such a shame! Now neither concentration is as unique. Still very pretty though.
I wear this only in very hot weather but it's wonderful for that. I personally don't think it sweetens as it dries down.
@@jamesinascribner9009 phenomenal for hot weather :) yeah maybe it’s a skin chemistry thing
Now, I’m intrigued by Deauville! I found Biarritz to be quite repulsive after a few mins and I’m hoping the rest of the Les Eaux are not. Thanks for sharing these!
It’s gorgeous! You’ve got to try it. I agree Biarritz is so-so. I mean I liked it but it wasn’t anything special, and quite weak. Paris-Edimbourg is really good too btw.
Never knew about this Ellena creation. Not sure coz it’s summer or what but I was really craving for much older pre-Hermes JCE perfumes.
Yeah it’s a good one. Very summer appropriate. It would scratch your itch I’m sure. Are there any pre Hermes JCE’s you are into? The only other one I know of and of course like is Eau de Campagne.
I’ve been itching to try Eau de Campagne but I haven’t. Same goes for Declaration from Cartier. The only JCE pre-Hermes I have are Eau The Verte from Bulgari and L’Eau d’Ambre Extreme from L’Artisan. Both beautiful! I’ve always liked Ambre Extreme but I’ve never really given it the proper wearing until just recently and it turned out to be so much better than I thought for a classic amber.
It's interesting that on Michael Edwards' fragrance wheel this is classified not as a green, or even a fruity, but as a floral amber of all things. I'm not a fan of melon dominant, so I haven't smelled this.
It’s not at all amber. I’ve noticed this happen a lot, perfumes getting classified as ____ amber and it’s nothing at all resinous or amber-like. Don’t know what he’s smoking. Yeah I do not like melon either (except in a couple chypres where it’s just giving fruitiness). Have been thinking about Muguet Porcelaine from Hermes which some say has a melon aroma. Because it’s Hermes I’m willing to give it a try ;3
Hmm, interesting… I got 12 hours of longevity on my skin before I could no longer smell it at all. I do have an older bottle though (2020-21, I think)
Nice! That’s an excellent duration. Yup it could’ve just been my batch, who knows.
What is your favorite fresh perfumes for summer?
Hi Ahmet, I am currently enjoying so far this summer Mind Energy, DKNY Women, Fiero, and Abdul Kareem Egyptian Musk. All are fresh.
@@expansefloating4096 Thank you!
min 9:32 don't leave us hanging, couldn't find that video :).
Hi Lorvina, so sorry! I just mentioned it in my recent video, Aura Maris by Lorenzo Villoresi. I will try to get a dedicated video uploaded for ya.
@@expansefloating4096 Sounds promising, but the price difference is quite something unfortunately.
This perfume blew me off my feet. I forever try to smell it and it gives me joy, joy, joy. 1994/2024 : 30 years and everlasting in my brain 🌸.
I could see how it would really click with certain people! It’s unique. Glad you see its beauty. By the way I recently sampled Mito voile d’extrait by Vero Profumo, and it smells a lot like Eden. In my opinion. You might like it :)
It would be best if you had an ASMR fragrance channel!
I know your voice You already have an other chanel in wich you discus roja - idiot
Thanks for the great review! So what's the best G&T perfume in your opinion? The freshest and most realistic
Hello! They are all very fresh to begin with. I would say in this lineup gin & tonic from art de parfum might fit your bill the best. It’s realistic to me and fresh as fuck. But if an important part of the realism for you is the boozy metallic alcohol smell found in a cocktail, it doesn’t have that. In which case I’d go for Gin Fizz or GFS. Gin Fizz is very realistic, GFS a tad more abstract.
Encre Indigo is *really* nice! It's actually closest to Sport, but instead of the watery notes, it is airy with a unique airy saffron and some tea. Love the line, and like you, my favorite is the Sport--until I sampled Indigo in store in London. I'll definitely grab it when it hits discounters. Loved the review and alternative mentions!
Thanks for the 411 :) I’ll make sure to check into it in that case since it’s similar to Sport 🩵 glad you enjoyed it
I haven’t tried any of these but I have tried Flowerhead by Byredo, a very nice and green tuberose perfume. Also Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle is really good, in my opinion.
Sorry for the late reply! Flowerhead is great! I’ve been thinking of getting a travel size. That or La Tulipe. I’ve got to try carnal flower again because people say it’s a green tuberose, which appeals to me. Glad to hear you like it :)
@@expansefloating4096 yessss La Tulipe is amazing too! I don’t have a full size bottle of it but it’s on my wish list.
Himalaya is a GIT hybrid. Both give off a natural clean crisp bar of soup dry down
Interesting! It’s weird because I do like GIT but found Himalaya very so-so. Maybe I ought to retry it.
Was this filmed in a corner of a stockroom or employee area of a retail shopping center or whatever? Because the lighting, that crate, the green acrylic display component, the tester sticker on the DKNY bottle, and your voice makes it seem like you're making this list of recommendations from your "personal collection" while on break, and not wanting coworkers or management to find out.
😂 actually it’s one of the dressing rooms at my local Nordstrom’s! At this point they don’t call security anymore. Let me take whatever I need off the counter, they’re so sweet to me. 💗
@@expansefloating4096 Ahhh😃 That's friggin awesome. Have you gotten a chance to meet Kathy or the boys yet? Such a nice family. She got up and spoke at my uncles funeral a few years back up in Port Townsend, and the boys visit all the various Nordstroms across the country on a regular basis. I really like that about them. Maybe you could be one of their buyers for their fragrance department, or something? That would be a fun job I bet.
Aventus has a better performance
Good to know! I haven’t thoroughly experimented with Aventus. I have used Aventus dupes like CDNiM :)
I agree not a good performance not good buy😢😢
Omg love this thank you❤❤❤ I've always wanted that Chloe Sevigny but haven't ever pulled the trigger.
I’ll need to re-watch your cherry blossom video because my pink perfume collection needs one! I don’t blame you about not pulling the trigger, it’s extremely extremely expensive!! 💀 🔪 I think I had to get myself high on Tylenol pm one night in order to have the courage to finally snag it.
@@expansefloating4096 Lol you did not I love it! Btw Guerlain LPRN Rose Cherry is sweet and easy and pink and still available, at a less than high to buy price 😁😁😁
I’m on a Lovely kick lately. Thanks for sharing
It’s the best ;3
I was gonna suggest Molecule 03 after the video then you suddenly brought it up. It’s such a good vetiver for a non-vetiver lover like me and also for being half synthetic. Every Storm a Serenade is also such a good choice!
Isn’t it great? I love the way it smells too. Green, peppery, energizing. A lot of times synthetic smells better honestly. Although when it comes to vetiver naturals, the Vetiverol ex Vetiver Haiti oil is gorgeous. Glad you were able to find a vetiver that works for you; must be hard though because it’s in everything!
Big fan of fresh green rose perfumes. A few that work for me are Young Rose by Byredo, 125th and Bloom by Vilhelm perfumerie and Eau Rose by Diptyque.
Excellent choices! I’ve been thinking of looking into Young Rose again. It has similarity to Izia (not identical at all though). It doesn’t get enough hype, everyone seems to go for Rose of No Mans Land. Didn’t care for it, have you tried? Diptyque is just all around good with Rose. I’ll have to check out 125th and Bloom.
@@expansefloating4096 Def check out 125th and Bloom, to my nose it smells like a fresh green rose with smoky tobacco notes. I have Rose of No Mans Land too but I think it vibes more in the cooler months for me. How do you feel about Rose Atlantic by DS and Durga?
I always think I ramble too much too. But you know what-you’re finding your people who like to listen to the ramble. So speak to them. Yes peach does give an uplifting something something to a fragrance, which is weird for me to say because I’ve never been a big fan of mitsouko because the peach there is oppressive. I haven’t watched your videos to know your lane yet but I think pomares stolen perfume does a great peach. She’s an all natural house and actually distills the peaches- how about them apples? Or peaches. Haha. Beaulah is the perfume I’m thinking of. Sometimes her perfume scan be hit and miss with the ‘natural weird smell’, but beaulah is all peach sandlewood prettiness.
Sorry for the late reply! Thank you Kelly I appreciate it :) I have wondered what kind of materials they are using for the old fashion peach notes because like you, they aren’t appealing to me. Or at the very least they get lost in the composition to my nose. Thank you so much for the recommendation I will look into that house and Beulah specifically. I also came across a nice peach very recently in Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor.
I bought mine today. I like it. I will wear it on a hike. It is green, slightly floral, dry ( very), melony and peppery. Yes the bottle is silly. I will persevere with it because like the oddness. I think it might be good in the cold. I think ti smells contemporary and if it was made by Amouge we would all be clamering for it.
I’m glad you like it :) yes it’s an odd one. That combo of melon milk, floral green and pepper is just.. nothing you really come across. I feel like people who like doll head perfumes would enjoy Eden bc of the shared plasticy undercurrent. You know it does have something cooling about it (vs warm) so I can see how it would shine in cold weather too.
Pamplemouse is my favourite
You have good taste!

Thank you for your video and the great explanation . I appreciate it. Based on your opinion I ordered 6.7 oz bottle of this fragrance from Amazon for $63.25 . Can’t wait to receive it.
Nice find! Should last forever at that size, which is good because it’s such an easy reach type of perfume. Let me know what you think :)
great review and comparisons - really helpful!
Thank you Betty :) glad to hear
Love the 2017. I also got the Cologne flanker recently which is a completely different beast but great in its own right.
The cologne is unique! I find it has this mentholated tone which appeals to me in general. You inspired me to find my sample and play with it some more.
Nautica voyage
What the hell?
Wish I saw this video before I bought mine. Absolutely terrible. Gives off grandma perfume vibes.
Sorry you were another one of its victims :’( it really is not at all what it seems by the name
I got mine today, blind bought. Oh boy I hate it. It activates my gag reflex.
It’s a weird one. Definitely a love or hate kind of perfume. Sorry it wasn’t your thing.
Finally got to test these last year. Though I really like them, the amount of aldehydes in some kinda made me think of them any other line forcing the signature into every scent. Also, I can’t believe that these were $200 for a 75ml in 2020 and are now at $325. Ugh!
You know that is true, I believe Ouch110 said the same thing. That Chanel dna. I especially noticed it in beige, 1957, 1932, misia to an extent.. but I won’t complain because I like aldehydes :3 some of them had that soapy aldehydic quality as well like 1922 and Bois des Iles. Oh my god don’t even get me started on their prices!!! It disgusts me to my core. Shame on you Chanel.
Good stuff
Overpriced
Yeah I mean honestly I believe all perfumes should be max $80, everything else is overpriced. But at least the resale market with these you can get a 4.2oz bottle for around $100 or less :)
He sounds like men version of Kylie Jenner And I’m here for it 😂😂
“…sexy clean daddy”. 🤔😏 If you’re ever at Target, try smelling Method’s Juniper + Sage body wash. It’s so good! I’ve only sampled Biarritz. It opened so beautifully but then immediately started assaulting my senses. Like it was scratching the inside of my nostrils. 😖
😂
I did go to target today! You’re right it smells amazin. Definitely clean daddyness. The fragrances used in the entire method men line are well done. I recently finished up their vetiver and sandalwood one. Hate the bottles though! I know what you mean about Paris-B. It does have a sharpness to it in the beginning. Im telling you it’s the muguet and neroli they are just so clean clean clean to a fault sometimes.
Totally agree on the Method men line! I’m hoping they would get on the body mist / perfume train. 😆
Byredo Pulp has a super fun squeeze of grapefruit juice and zest in the opening I find very enjoyable and unique
Thank you for this recommendation. I wish I liked Pulp more but something about it doesn’t quite tickle me. I think it’s the fig and praline! You’re right though the initial blast is good. Almost enzymatic with the juiciness. Have you ever tried Calyx? I recently did and it has a really intense tart grapefruit opening. Unfortunately I didn’t like the development.
@@expansefloating4096 "almost enzymatic with its juiciness" oh you talk my language lol. That's such a great way to describe the opening. I've not tried Calyx but I will indeed hunt for it now. I love these kinds of quirky, effervescent formulations. Grapefruit is one of my favourite notes for this reason. I just love the punch and zing and how exciting it can smell/react/clash/gel other ingredients/notes
@@expansefloating4096 yes I think you've nailed it, there's something going on in Pulp (fig and praline!) that I too find myself wrangling with when considering spraying on my skin
Thank you for reviewing Macomba. I don't especially care for those figgy, ubiquitous green tea fragrances either. Have you smelled Hermetica Pomeloflow by any chance?
Yeah I just don’t get why all the tea scents need fig? There are many other ways to convey tea. I’ve never tried Pomeloflow tell me more :)
@@expansefloating4096 with notes of rhubarb, mandarin zest, blackcurrant berries, pomelo, lychee, jasmine, vetiver, and musk this fragrance sounds wonderfully appealing, but I was hoping you could enlighten me because I've not managed to try a tester on my skin yet
the sound keeps cutting out for me, but great commentary as always!
Oh shit sorry! Ill try to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future
Very glad to see Perris Monte Carlo’s Rose de Taif more on YT! To me, the geranium is very much present that it really comes off as a green rose. I’m curious about the Regime des Fleur line. Have you tried anything else from them?
It’s a beautiful line, I’m glad they decided to focus on a rose soliflore. Especially taifi rose which is harder to find. I will say however I wouldn’t have minded it being less geranium forward. It gives a drier feeling when I prefer dewy. But honestly that’s the way pure rose extracts go; they always become geranium dominant (imo). I haven’t tried any other regime des fleurs, but their selection looks great. Especially cacti and falling trees. Hbu any that are catching your attention?
I’m with you. I prefer my roses dewy, as well, and not the dry pink pepper-y kind like a lot of the middle eastern roses. I haven’t tried any from Regime des Fleurs. They just seem to be often either sold out or low on stock in a couple of retailers that I’ve visited.
Mind Energy was quite intriguing! I find it very citrusy despite not having any citruses listed as a note. It’s very reminiscent of citrus colognes that use elemi and other cold spices. Enjoy your trip!
Yes exactly that cold spicy feeling. Love it! Very much the intersection of where pepper and citrus meet in elemi (one of my favorite notes). Could see there being bergamot too, or lime. Have a great day :)
Omg hon I love this! Even for a few days I bring along at least 5°
1 is just not enough I’m sorry 🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️ we must have the LUXURY of choice
How you doing?!Expanse- that's gorgeous ~
I am alright! Hope you doing well. Thank you :)
I love a good rose scent. I am going to try the Sisley Izia sometime in February. Thanks for the review!
I hope you like it :)
Omg ROSE?? I'M HERE ❤
Awesome video. I’m thinking about getting Izia. It will actually be my first Sisley perfume. It’s between Izia, Izia La Nuit and Eau Du Soir. Decisions, decisions….. Do you think that the regular Izia smells old fashioned at all? Also I just subscribed to your channel. 😇
Hello inkyimpressions :) welcome aboard. I don’t find Izia to be old fashion whatsoever. In fact it skews more modern. A young person could easily wear it just as much as an older person. It’s more floral fresh, slightly sweet. The La Nuit flanker is so different to me. Instead of being floral it’s more focused on the black currant, patchouli and labdanum. Stickier, darker. And because of its intensity and sharpness, I could see it being a release from the 80s. A bit of that unapologetic powerhouse vibe. Not that it smells dated per se, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it was 30+ years old. Oh, I love Eau du Soir! If you do like a more old fashion style, this would be the way to go. It’s very savory and herbal like a 70s greenie. Yes it’s more old fashion but I’m sure you could pull it off in a way that came across as well groomed and unique. It’s also a good performer. I will try to make a video on it soon for you. If you want green? Eau du Soir If you want retro? Eau du Soir If you want floral? Izia If you want fresh? Izia or Eau du Soir If you want heady and enjoy Coco Noir, Opium, etc? Izia La Nuit It’s exciting to meet someone who is interested in Sisley perfumes. 💕 they make great stuff.
