college decision reactions 2021 | Realistic GPA | (Brown, NU, Pitt, UCLA, Tulane & more)
It helped me so much to see other people's processes and just the exact times and dates they got their decisions, so I thought why not contribute for next year's seniors to help them in the way class of 2020's videos helped me. Again this is in no way to brag, if anything it is to show that even if you have one bad year grades-wise, or don't take all of the AP classes offered, you can still get into your dream school there's always a chance! Good luck to everyone in the future :)

    • @alwaysprocrastinating355
      @alwaysprocrastinating355 Před 2 lety

      I'm a current senior almost done with my application cycle and got into 2 safeties and 1 competitive school so far (with a good chance of getting into more competitive schools). Firstly, that gpa isn't bad but as a sophomore you still have plenty more opportunities to raise it, and I'd say the biggest one is taking AP classes (particularly of subjects you're interested in/related to the major you hope to pursue). Colleges really care about your weighted gpa (which comes from AP classes); basically in an AP class getting an A bumps your gpa above 4 and a B puts it at 4. Beyond gpa, do plenty of extracurriculars, don't be afraid to try new things! You'll make friends and be doing something (hopefully) fun/to your interest. It would also be worthwhile to do "nontraditional" extracurriculars like beekeeping or something idk (but make sure it's something you're actually interested in and not just for show) or starting something on your own (like a fundraiser/campaign/social protest or online store --- but again make sure you're interested in it). All these things will build up your "story," let colleges know who you are. Lastly (this is for when you're actually applying), don't be afraid to get as much help and feedback on your application essays as possible (parents, english teachers, counselors, etc.) and make sure they're unique/creative and represent you the best you can. Hope this helps and good luck!

    • @BluRayBeyondHD
      @BluRayBeyondHD Před 3 lety

      If you're applying early to schools, your senior year grades first semester likely will not make the cut even, so what you have by the end of your junior year will probably be what is used for your early applications..for regular decision schools you'll send your first semester grades, and on occasion for waitlists you might be asked for your end of the year grades. Great that you're starting your research so early, good luck to you! :)

City Council in support of a bill pertaining to sexual assault policy in D.C. public high schools, testified in front of Congress for a similar event, interned at Break the Cycle and represented the organization as a public speaker on many panels for all of high school. I played lacrosse JV and Varsity, a couple more clubs that were actually in school are scattered around in there, some summer non-profit business startup and creative writing programs and some writing publications.
