I could hear the old tunes like "Mack the Knife" ...the Lady is a Tramp" etc....from the Orchestra....the competition seemed to have been proceeded w/o grandiloquence if you will but in the manner of "Business as Usual"....

The best ball roon in my opinion is the tower ball room . Much better dance floor , better surroundings My children dance thrre for 10 years as juniors and juveniles are myself have dance doing bopping Jive some people call it . Lovely spring in the floor 🎉

Always lovely to view dancers on the Empress Ballroom at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. Danced competitively there many times a long time ago on a beautiful parquetry floor. I do wish they would repair it, like they did the Tower Ballroom.
