The B600 has a bigger zoom of 60X but I’ll take the B500 any day because of the screen which can flip out when you take shots of the moon at night. B600 screen is permanent.

I bought an RX100 VII about 18 months ago and found it a great little camera with some powerful features. However, the continuous hype around the GR 3 persuaded me that I needed to try one. I ordered the x version with HDF filter from Amazon. I sent it back today, I thought the auto focus was poor and you basically have to use the Snapshot feature, which for me always seemed to be on the wrong setting when a photo opportunity presented itself. I found I also had to edit the photos to get the colours to my liking. I also have a Fuji XF10, and to me this seems at least as good as the GR. The Ricoh is the most expensive of these 3 cameras at £1100 here in the UK. Compared to the Sony, which has a flash, viewfinder, amazing AF and zoom, the Ricoh is overpriced.

I give this comparison video a 1/10.

The E5 is great. It is a real SLR digital camera that does not take away the task of making pictures from you but brings it back to you. You have the control of everything. And its reaction time is tremendus. It is like playing a Stradivari in comparison to an electric piano. The only thing that is missing is the low light performance. But when you compare the set of lenses and their aperture and weight to a comparable set in the full frame high resolution sector weight and size differences are striking. This camera is the real bridge back to a film based foto camera. And it works as this review did say best in street fotography as well as in portrait. This is a camera not a spaceship. The choice should be easy. And one realy striking feature I forgot to mention. It has authentic color settings with very natural skin tones. A real pro camera ! With battery pack and live view feature !
