Where should I look if I want something with a view of the mountains and walkable to coffee and grocery store for rental upto $3,800?

Children and adults get sacrificed daily for 60 days I been counts it’s crazy. Even around the lake is huge coyotes.

I live in the townhomes you’re referring to, (Roxbury). Great community but we have the problem of having two zip codes and it gets super complicated. Usps only recognizes one zip code, dmv only recognizes the other lol. The only people that seem to get it right is Amazon. Decatur is N. LV/ LV border.

I left the Bay Area for all the right reasons .. high cost of living, high taxes, overly woke policies ... and I came here on a whim... well, a year and half later I'm hating it.. a) it's small, you bump into the same people all the time .. b) it's a stucco jungle, ugly, no architectural appeal, cookie cutter homes, strip malls, etc.. it's full of stucco strip malls, dental offices and vape shops at every one.. c) meat heads in Dodge Chargers with flat brim hats everywhere... d) if they're not a sports fan, forget about it... that's the religion here. e) the dating scene sucks.. any decent looking woman is taken, the majority of the single ones are overly plastic, fake eye lashes, eyebrows, and body parts everywhere... Only good thing I can say is it's dirt cheap and at least where I am, is close to the Red Rock mountains .. (Btw, I'm in a prime location in Summerlin in a 1M condo, so it's not where I picked to live).

Been here long enough to see every few years another realtor or social media person discovers us lol

I can see why Las Vegas would be a step up from Okinawa. In my opinion, it is the worst place I have ever lived. There isn't anything I can do in Vegas that I couldn't do in a more esthetically appealing location. Hot, dry, ugly

No one is buying overpriced homes in las vegas, everyone is wait for next collapse in the house market.

Sorry. If you live in the Midwest, unless you live on a farm, the city amenities are just as close; lived in Minneapolis/St. Paul for 20 years and Nashville and Atlanta before that.

A bunch of gang members from South Los Angeles moved to Las Vegas since the 2000's causing increase in crime and lower living standards.

I'll buy it. How much? Looking to move to Vegas ASAP.

If you are planning on buying a house, stay away from North Las Vegas and the Eastside. You will notice that the 215 does not connect on the Eastside. There is a reason for that. Also, do not buy a house next to a school. Those brats destroy everything if they do not steal it first. Just because you buy a house in a "good neighborhood" does not mean it will be safer. Home invasions happens in a good and bad neighborhood so be prepared to protect yourself at all times.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

My Family lived in Sunrise. Area of Lucerne and Arden. Base of Frenchman. Most likely due to the Altitude drop, We had unobscured Vantage of Red Rock and Mt. Charleston. Turtle Peak was always prominent. I enjoyed being so close to Sunrise Rodeo grounds, because I like Rodeos. The Sunrise area was less congested, more Family focused. with the Churches in the Area, and the LDS Temple in the area. A lot of my Neighbors were LDS. I'm not LDS, but that didn't matter. My Mom and I were always included in the neighborhood Family activities. I am not sure if the area is as friendly, but when I when I lived there it was.

Once I got to Con #2 High Homeless Population -I decided this is not the place for me.

WhenI moved to Vegas the school was crowded and wouldn’t take my daughter, they said just take courses online. It really messed up my daughter’s education and her grades suffered and never recovered. Her goal was to go to Yale, but Vegas ruined it for her and she never went to college.

Las Vegas gets super hot (well over 100 degrees) for 6-8 months. Are any of these places you talk about appreciably cooler in the summer months? And are homes available in these areas that are "affordable"?
