As a very young child at the Morgan Park Assembly Church in Chicago, where Margaret Aikens was a member, and she and Ollie Lafayette, wrote and published many great gospel songs.
I WAS A VERY VERY SICK BABY WHEN I WAS BORN. MOTHER POOL WAS ON THE RADIO. SHE SAID ANYBODY IN YOUR FAMILY THAT IS SICK. PUT YOUR HAND ON THE RADIO AND LET ME PRAY FOR THEM. I HAD TUBES IVS EVERYWHERE. I HAD A BAD HEAT. I WAS BLIND. THEY TOLD MY MOM I WAS GOING TO BE ARTISTIC. MOTHER POOL PRAYED FOR ME. ON THE RADIO. HERE I AM TODAY. IM FINE. I CAN SEE. MY HEART IS FINE AND I CAN BREATHE. I THANK GOD FOR HER AND MY MOMS PRAYERS. I AM 63 YRS OLD AND TRUELY TRUELY BLESSED. GOD HAS BROUGHT ME A LONG WAY. I THANK HIM EVERY DAY ❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😇😇😇

Patrick Henderson did a great work. This is one of the first albums that I had converted to CD decades ago (Saints in Praise projects were already available in CD). Praying for his family, family of friends and church family impacted by the earthly void left from his heavenly arrival. Heaven is surely popping about now!
I remember hearing this when it first came out. Two things stood out: The woman who sang lead and her voice range. And two? One word: TWINKEEEEEE!!!! My God! This what you call power organ playing!

Real church , when she would come to Boston and run revivals she stayed with us , if I start acting up downstairs , she make me come up to her room and get on my knees and Pray 😂and she prayed 4 hours straight I know fell asleep on the second hour, miss God ma soooo much and I remember all stuff , you can actually feel the Power on Mother Mattie ! I know my feet was on the ground , but always felt like I were floating , her andPastor Black from mount Vernon New York🙏🏿Love you see ya there when my time !
