Just discovered your channel tonight Ru. Love it. I’ve only been to Scotland once, family trip to Edinburgh. I’m the only golfer but managed to hire clubs and play Prestonfield GC. Extremely welcoming club and members. I love links however, so want to return to play some. I live in Burton on Trent, as central and far from any coast as you can get, so a house move will be required in my early retirement soon. Keep the content coming and if you need a 60 year old guest hit me up!

If you are in this area I strongly recommend playing the Broch, Peterhead, inverallochy and Newburgh. Beautiful part of the country and fantastic courses ⛳️

Ru, love your videos. Played Preswick twice on our fifth trip over from the states last summer. Absolutely loved it as we do all links courses. (Love your Cruden Bay too). The welcome at Prestwick was lovely as was the food/drink and clubhouse.

Separating the course from the experience is the hard part. I recently played several and my best was at Prestwick, so of course I love that more than others....I think St Andrews Castle Course should be on the list. And Kingsbarns should be closer to the top of the list. King's Course Gleneagles should be in there somewhere.

Would love to play the courses you've mentioned but the prices are just ridiculous,such a shame

Have played it 5 or 6 times. If I knew I had only one round of golf to play before I met my Maker, it would be Castle Stuart.

Wow! When did they place those horrid giant windmills in the water? Cruden Bay was my first choice, then this course second around Aberdeen of the two courses that I played a few years back. The greens at the Trump course were savagely undulating. Both courses had the wind push the golf ball off the putting green while at rest. Rounds were played in early September month. Maybe one day go back to play others. Nice vid!
