Following the Flood story, the Bible describes the spread of the nation-state and the dangerous concentration of human power. God intervenes to disrupt this development and to expose the confusion that comes from human attempts to consolidate power apart from his presence among them. The tower of Babel sets the stage for God's calling of Abraham and for his promise to redeem all creation throug...

Noah's flood is one of the most well-known stories in all the Bible. But being captivated by its imagery we can easily lose sight of its message. God's interactions with Noah and his family are meant to teach God's people about the reason why he has delivered them from destruction. Brought into a covenant relationship with him by grace, God intends to bring order to his creation through his peo...

God's promise after the failure of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was that the seed of the woman would prevail over the seed of the serpent. Comparing the genealogy of Adam through Seth with that of Adam through Cain, we see the contrast between the two family trees. But God's promised victory seems to be on the verge of failure as the evil seed infiltrates the royal line and brings great t...

Genesis 4 contains the first murder in human history. It did not take long after the Fall and the Curse for the children of Adam to be enmeshed in sin, pride, disobedience, and false worship. Cain killed Abel, but the Lord still showed him mercy. Lamech, the first bigamist, boasted in killing a young man. The offspring of the woman appears all but lost. But the Lord revealed hope to humanity by...

God put the man and the woman in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it. But they soon succumbed to the temptation of the serpent and disobeyed God's command. The devastating consequences of Adam and Eve's rebellion are not only the cause of all that troubles our world but also the pattern we are tempted to follow every single day.

Genesis 2 tells us about a garden that God planted in the land of Eden, and about the man and woman that he put there to manage it. This particular vocation given to Adam and Eve is a sacred duty, more like a priestly function than an agricultural one. So long as they, as God's chosen people, carry out their sacred responsibilities, they will enjoy the delights of God's kingdom and promote its ...

The creation account in Genesis 1 is often suspected of being in conflict with the findings of modern science. Many attempts have been made to make peace between the two. The best way to do that is to see the unique contribution of the creation account and what it urges us to believe about God and his purpose for the world.

I share your belief in the divinity of Jesus. However, I believe Jesus, among all of his other works also came to fulfill (Daniel 12:1) before he returns. Walking in the footsteps of Jesus, can it be done? [ 0.0...1 / 0.0...1 = 1.0 ] 1. at the beginning of Jesus' ministry he fashions a whip and destroys a temple courtyard (considered Holy Ground) in a fit of outrage at a time when most witnesses to the event do not even know who he is. Can we follow this example? Certainly, and still, to what end other than our own? To follow this example will probably land us in jail, while in Israel at the time of Jesus it usually resulted in a death sentence. 2. later down the road Jesus curses the pharisees in a scathing rebuke; (parable of the fig tree). Can we follow this example? Certainly, however, this contradicts "love thy neighbor as thyself", and to what end other than our own? It is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. Why not move the tree to fertile ground instead? 3. later down the road Jesus accuses Peter of being Satan. Can we follow this example? Certainly, Christian's accuse their own brethren and others of the same just about every day since that time up to and including today. And to what end other than their own? With every word we speak we give ourselves away; in every word we write lies revelation. 4. does exoneration grant immunity from liability to anyone? Certainly, this is why The Prophet, Muhammad, is granted immunity from his words and actions; is why Jesus is granted immunity from his words and actions; is why people grant themselves immunity from their own words and actions; (cause and effect). However, ask any Justice of the Peace if exoneration grants immunity from liability to anyone and the answer is "no"; (a double standard). Biblical observations/questions: 1. it is said Michael threw a dragon down to earth and this is the reason for the treason. 2. if you are familiar with (2 Cor.4:4) then you will note that the god of this world is Satan. 3. if Satan is the god of this world then we are already experiencing hell/damnation here on earth. 4. Jesus did not come to bring peace, but (outside of) a sword. Q: do you believe Jesus to be a neutral entity? If not, then who is this entity spoken of in (Joshua 5:13) if not Michael? And how does this correspond with (John 16:7), if at all? Thanks, ~Rick

Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Galatians 5:14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire- but my ears you have opened- burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 1 John 3:23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 1 John 5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ. Who's the bridegroom? According to the scriptures. Christian is my loved one, Wife and Bride. Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband- the Lord Almighty is his name- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. Isaiah 62:5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. John 12:44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. John 5:17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. With love and light, Troy aka Life

Come ,said the bridegroom come... Ephesians 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, Her helper, said Come! Isaiah 34:16 Look in the scroll of the Lord and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together. John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- The Marriage Covenant messenger, God has placed. Christian, my loved one. Wife and Bride. Come Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. 1 Corinthians 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 2 Corinthians 2:16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 2 Corinthians 4:10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. Revelation 5:6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. James 4:5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. CHRISTIAN IS! WAS! AND WILL BE! Isaiah 62:1 [ Zion’s New Name ] For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Psalm 14:7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! Psalm 50:2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Psalm 53:6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! Psalm 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Psalm 110:2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!” Psalm 126:1 [ Psalm 126 ] [ A song of ascents. ] When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. --Psalm 129:5 May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame. Psalm 133:3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. Psalm 134:3 May the Lord bless you from Zion, he who is the Maker of heaven and earth. Song of Songs 3:11 come out, and look, you daughters of Zion. Look on King Solomon wearing a crown, the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, the day his heart rejoiced. Isaiah 1:27 Zion will be delivered with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness. Isaiah 2:3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Isaiah 4:4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire. ---Isaiah 18:7 At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the Lord Almighty. Isaiah 24:23 The moon will be dismayed, the sun ashamed; for the Lord Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before its elders-with great glory. Isaiah 28:16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. Isaiah 29:8 as when a hungry person dreams of eating, but awakens hungry still; as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking, but awakens faint and thirsty still. So will it be with the hordes of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion. Isaiah 31:4 This is what the Lord says to me: “As a lion growls, a great lion over its prey- and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against it, it is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor- so the Lord Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights. Isaiah 31:9 Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at the sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic,” declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem. Isaiah 33:5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. ----Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: “Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?” Isaiah 33:20 Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. Isaiah 33:24 No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill”; and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven. Isaiah 34:8 For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause. Isaiah 35:10 and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 37:32 For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. Isaiah 41:27 I was the first to tell Zion, ‘Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good news. --- --Isaiah 46:13 I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel. Isaiah 51:1 [ Everlasting Salvation for Zion ] “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; Isaiah 51:3 The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing. Isaiah 51:11 Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 51:16 I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand- I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’” Isaiah 52:1 Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” -- -- --Isaiah 52:8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Isaiah 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 60:1 [ The Glory of Zion ] “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Isaiah 60:14 The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 62:11 The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.’” Isaiah 66:8 Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. --- - ---Jeremiah 3:14 “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband. I will choose you-one from a town and two from a clan-and bring you to Zion. Jeremiah 4:6 Raise the signal to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster from the north, even terrible destruction.” Jeremiah 50:5 They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. Lamentations 2:4 Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion. Lamentations 4:11 The Lord has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations. Zechariah 9:13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword. 1 Peter 2:6 For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame. ” Opened book, Troy aka Life
