I drove these 2000-2005 Impalas as Taxis and they were very fast off the line but every single Impala had Transmission Failures and were replaced by the 2006 Impala models that were much slower and gas mileage was far worse and were constantly needing new front wheel hubs. Some 3400 engines had camshafts that would break destroying the engine, very poorly designed and built engines, The TBI 305 engines from the 91- 93 Caprice Taxis never had engine problems of any kind even after 500 K miles !

My sister had a 2002 Ford Escape for almost 16 years. I even drove it once in 2004. It felt liked a Ford Explorer to me. I even drove a 2009 one a little bit a week but, I accidentally had it 2 days longer because of the weather. I even had a 2015 Ford Escape SE from late March 2017 to mid March 2022. The vehicle died on me from an oil leakage. Now that I have a 2020 Ford Escape SE for a little bit over 2 years now. I just loved using Apple Car Play in it. Even my sister had a 2023 rental when she was vacationing just before Thanksgiving. She never used the Apple Car play in it. Everything was so different towards her. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to my 2020 one.
