The Case for Variable Sorting
zhlédnutí 7KPřed 8 měsíci
#minecraft #storagetech #pallapalla An introductory demonstration of the concept of variable sorting. Note about the world download: Many contraptions in the world download are not heavily tested and should be before being considered for use. This video is not meant to be a schematic-sharing source, it is a conceptual explanation. I encourage you to study what's in the WDL, but please read the ...
JayRoi's - Moony - Item Sorter (J-M-IS) 1.19+
zhlédnutí 31KPřed rokem
This fully complete storage system, (1.19 ), which is capable of combining multi item sorting and box loading into the same hall, while making all items accessible including when there are a limited amount of bulk items, while presenting full boxes. The WDL can be found in the thread in the Storage Tech Discord: discord.gg/JufJ6uf Feel free to ask me, JayRoi#3877 for help anytime, pm or in #sto...
Great video!
Storage system world download?
damn thats hard
music is too loud imo but other than that great video
GOOD LORD THE MUSIC IS WAY TO LOUD
FUCK THİS SOUND BRO. I CANT EVEN HEAR YOU
Is there a link to the binary decoder by Crain? I can't find a video about it anywhere
Love this resource pack for the hoppers
Great system and video, but the classical music is too loud and distracting compared to your voice. Maybe its just me though, but thought i'd give you the feedback.
This looks so challenging yet so fun to learn
I just searched up cobble stone generator
I have been looking for a perfect storage system for a couple of months now, never done a MIS before. I found mooney’s designs, but had not gotten the urge to put together an entire system myself yet. but this! this is perfect! thank you for making such a informative video and providing easy litematice bluebrints! Will definetly make this a summer project when schools out!
same here! it's been stressing me out LOL
Constructive criticism, and I’m still watching: I feel like the music volume could be turned down a bit. It’s quite distracting and that hurts, especially such a complex topic
It’s not always too loud. This seems like a really good video though, and I appreciate the knowledge being shared. Thank you
i´m alright with redstone and since i dont really have time to play on servers i only play singleplayer. so all these needlessly overcomplicated monsterprojects are of no real use for me...still i find gems and food for thought in vids like these! i think you helped me simplyfying my future storage system. keep reaching for the stars even if it just makes someone else do something different with a particular part of your gigaproject! thx!
Will there be a video for the J-MIS v3? Such a lovely storage, I'd love for it to get some more visibility on YT!
Hi in the serveur I don't find the J-MIS whit the thing on the floor like in the video can somone help me pls
jayrussy
I found this video weeks ago.... I got busy and wanted to come back. Took me a week to find it again knowing what I was looking for. Subbing and saving this video. I am trying to wrap my head around decoding and encoding. I think I am starting to understand the concepts, but the how to convert it into Minecraft blocks and build the thing is still a little beyond me. Going to watch another time or two before I start tinkering, but this basically solves all my problems with the base I wanted to build in one way or another. I also want to expand this concept into autocrafters, and try to figure out a system that autocrafts an item if it is empty and the materials are in the system. Just have to store all the recipes and set up different crafters with different configurations and make the system know how to pick the correct config and materials in the correct order......... I have already made an industrial potion factory, so I think this inventory setup, a way to restock certain farms automatically using this system, and an autocrafter system are all I have to develop to never have to play the game to play the game again. I want something, my base makes it for me. There are of course some things you have to farm manually, but I have a lot of automatic farm designs and concepts saved/ worked on. Also with the hermits making their mail system, they also solved my ineptness with building. I can just make tons of chunk loaded bases around a central network for all of my pieces, and connect the whole thing through the nether. Inb4 RIP my pc
built the V3 works great
Hello, u build v3 for 1.17? , can u tell me if u can sort stairs/slabs, and where they are sorted?
I only just started seeing this extent of storage tech and I'm already looking forward to whatever you put out next
Very well put together video!
When using litematica, you build it in a random order is it a problem? Or u should follow a order?
Did you build it in 1.20?
Layer by layer or section by section is prob the safest way to build it
1.20?
"Can be found in the storage tech discord" Gives absolutely no clue as to where it is in that discord. Searching for "mis" has 50 pages of results. Maybe give a hint?
Jesus man mix the background music WAY lower, can't even hear you over the chimes.
I just love watching these videos like I understand them.
Great video. But Is there a design which combines all of these into one? I was hoping for a complete system. Coming off a project and have many chests of shulkers to merge and sort into bulk.
this vid had me glued to my screen, i absolutely love storage tech. very glad theres such an active community for it
sorry jay, i have betrayed you by not commenting on this video yet anyway here is the obligatory keep yourself safe
I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I have two questions tho. What happens if a slice runs out of boxes, and also, is it possible to easily change the shulker box's filter item?
storage tech is my passion
this system canm be build on spawnchunks??? or it's to lagy for spaunchunks
don’t be lazy just make a a chunk loader
i will never understand any of this, as much as i would like to :(
Going to tell my kids this was AE2.
This video helped so much with my project. Thanks alot🙏
Why music broo
bro wtf, i just want to sort my god damn items man what is this 😭😭
Sigh.
just use a dolphin impulse sorter or a mis :P encoded is for funsies
You need a degree in computer science to separate stone blocks from cobblestones now
Minor correction @8:34. A 10-bit encoder that has 1 bit per chest needs 100 chests to accommodate 1024 items. Each bit corresponds to half the total number of items, so 1024 * (1/2) = 512. Now do 512 items per bit / 54 items in a chest and round up. That'll be 10 chests per bit. 10 bits * 10 chests / bit = 100 chests. (Concatenative) bitgrouping isn't the optimal encoder map for 1024 unique codes. The minimum number of chests needed to encode 1024 items uniquely is 41. Bitgrouping is a methodology that balances user readability with chest length. The idea being, one does not need to pull up a spreadsheet to assign an item to a particular index. Lovely overview video. I think the history of encoded tech was a bit muddled-the needle has been pushed by a myriad of people over the last three years. If you do intend to spot-drop more history, message me. I'll do my best to access the archives of my memory.
i would love to do a history lesson, but this video was already longer than i wanted LOL.
For selecting which chest slice to put the items into, couldn't you add together illlegal signal strengths (>15) doubling for each bit of the encoded value, and then have a single long line of comparators one for each slice that -1 from the strength each time. Then, find where the comparator line runs out of signal strength, and that's your selected slice?
you are criminally underated
That is a very cool chest hall unloader and some nice control wiring, I wonder who made it.
Nice
You're a godsend!
Great vid! I've loved the amount of encoded discussion happening on Storage Tech Discord lately. Raps and Moony link below?
did I forget to credit you two?
@@jayroi1661yeah i think so.
Fully computerized storage when?
AE2
And another awesome video!
jayrussy my beloved 😖
yooo finally
Where cart
check the encoder
