The biggest crime this movie committed was turning the most emotionally impactful moment of the whole story; a moment that defined and molded an entire generation of childhoods into a cat pushing another cat off a cliff like he's a damn coffee mug.

Just imagine if they actually did go all the way with the documentary angle. The animals don't talk or sing, and the whole movie is presented as a documented version of the story, using actual shots that look like they're from a nature documentary, rather than recreating the shots. Hell, you could go the extra mile, and still bring back James Earl Jones, and have him be the narrator!

4 years late, but I didn't like this movie. I didn't like the message, and I think it was unnecessary to see what happened to the toys after their time-line with Andy was over.

Beverly hills chuhuahua is better done than this. The "live action" version would greatly benifit from good voice acting and facial expressions. It still wouldnt be good or nessasary though

the CGI already feels dated tbh and it’s not even been a decade yet. I didn’t watch it at the time so I don’t know if it was revolutionarily realistic but it just looks uncanny to me now.

Ive been watching through classic who recently and its such a shame that they dont have companions with interesting backgrounds anymore. Like Vicki the orphan from the 25th century or jamie the scott from 1746. It feels like almost every companion in new who is from current year.

I'll never watch this show. There's a lot of shows I won't watch, shows that for the most part I can tell I won't like at all with as little viewing as possible even from a trailer, and that works here too. But the show is special. It's one thing to feature suicide in a way that is a positive, and another thing entirely to do with this show did. This show takes suicide, puts it on a pedestal, and shows how dramatic and special and meaningful it is, how much it gets done, how much it means to the people who wrong you, and how it's a way to affect lasting change in the world, to leave your mark. That's gross and disgusting. It shows suicide as a viable solution, even glorifying it, just showing how important those tapes are. Just how much suddenly everybody cares about Miss Hannah after the fact. And worse, it does that while not even being very well written. Adding insult to injury I guess.

The reason why this show wasn’t as good as his other work is because unfortunately he’s been restricted as to what he can do and say.

The thing I most dislike about Toy Story 4 is that the other movies’ main characters except for Woody were hardly in it at all. Neither Rex, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, not even Jesse play any significant role in this movie. I can understand why Potato Head got shafted considering that his voice actor died, but I would have liked to see the other characters get more to do. And Buzz Lightyear (who was my favorite character growing up) gets it the worst. Not only is Buzz not in the movie much, but they turn him into a total moron with that voice box shit. How does Buzz Lightyear, who has been aware that he’s a toy for more than a decade not understand his basic toy anatomy? It’s so stupid. Feels like the writers thought that Woody was the only character people liked. It’s weird and lame.

Kaufman wasn't that original, comedy was edgier than Lucille Ball, he was just a dick who thought he earned the right to fuck with people. He wasn't funny at all.

I think the message of the movie is that you really have to be careful with your decisions in life. Paul ruined his life. At the end, returning with that annoying crazy vietnamese girl, was a stupid decision. Paul is a pathetic and weak man. The ending reinforces this idea. He watches that old sick mexican eating his food. His life sucks.
