Haha yeah watching it on my phone vs. with headphones or a decent stereo is a hell of a difference! I get a lot of people coming up at racing events wanting to know what makes it sound the way it does. ITB Holden V8's sure make a sweet noise.

Thanks mate! My car runs a 383ci Holden V8, there's more about my car in my other videos (and a FullBOOST video) describing the mechanical package. I was actually the fastest Torana at this event, I beat my mate in the orange hatch by 1.25 seconds and there was a race car Torana which was less than 1sec off my pace. The Falcon was a bit slower (more weight, less tyre & motor) but there were some quick HSV's and super quick WRX's that were a good few seconds ahead. :O

Yeah, that would be awesome. The American fellas who run the Optima Street Car Challenge said they wanted the car to go to and visit America and run over there at Vegas or something, but I don't think the propane/butane fuel infrastructure for it exists over there. Would need to modify the car for pump fuel. There are a couple of other Toranas that have actually gone Stateside which is pretty cool.

Hi Heath. Love your work, particularly the effort in maintaining original dash looks. I’m looking for someone willing to take on a Mk1, 69 Ford Capri GT dash. Are you interested? Problem I foresee is 40mm gauge diameter. Unsure Speedhut make them. Car is being converted to EV but trying to maintain original feel as much as possible
Hi David, thanks for the kind words. SpeedHut's smallest size is 2-1/16" so nominally about 49mm. If you can hide the bezels strategically, the visible gauge is probably only about 40mm so it may be suitable. But I'm afraid I'm not looking to take on that kind of project currently.

Great car, its your own style, not run of the mill, SLR striped Torana. going a custom style, but making it not hurt the eyes, is alot harder than what people might thing, specially in the colours youve done it. very tastefull. and for all the Chasers guys out there, I have to ask just Why?
Thanks! Yeah it's tricky to do a one-off graphic (particularly a bright one) that anyone warms to, but the response to the stripe design I came up with for this car has been generally really favourable and I do like having something bright that stops my car being mistaken with any other one! Haha What do you mean re: the Chasers? They're kinda long for the tight layouts, but robust driveline, great for repeated clutch dumps and pretty easy to drift. I'll probably take my Chaser to one of these in the future lol.

Mate what a beautiful, beautiful car. Have coveted the Torana hatch for the last 40+ years since it was released when I was a kid. I drive a 7 litre Camaro Z28 which is a beast but I'd kill to get one of these in the garage. Congratulations in every respect for repping this outstanding car. So envious! Subbed.

Haha all of those "ricers" have better oiling systems than my shitty Holden V8 and unlike mine, would probably be happy on a race track! It's surprising how far from track-prepped a V8 Torana is in standard form. I'll get it back to a track once I've re, re-engineered more systems to stop it blowing up. Until then... basically all motorsport is fun so I'll just do other events, like this. 😋
