Did you know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 better replicate ? Why ? Because german virologist Christian Drosten indicate that to replicate SARS COV2 in different tissues must decrease cells temperature to 34 -35C ( at TWiV 659 at min29) Theoretically higher mucouseal respiratory temperature protect against Covid19.

Thank you for your thoughts. Long covid is effectively post viral, and is similar in many ways to post viral. I disagree about supplements. Vitamin C is made in animals (human weight) in 5-10 grams, and can be doubled when sick. Hospital patients have been found to be severely depleted in vitamin C. D3 is huge for the immune system, and many other functions, and the RDA of 400IU is miniscule compared to what is made in the sun. If you are not getting sufficient summer sun then you need it. B vitamins are also stress dependent, and fatigue can also be due to shortage. They do test for folate and B12 sometimes. But again the optimal is not always the RDA. Adaptogens like ashwaganda and ginseng can help deal with stress, and rebalance. Magnesium can help with sleep and muscle aches - also Epsom salt baths. Saunas or hot baths can help with immune and mitochondria. Theanine can help with sleep. Your sleep was fine - mine is really fragile, and I need support to heal. Sleep and rest, but also provide what the body needs. If the thyroid is out of whack, but below the reference levels then it will often be treated as fine, when it is not, as the reference levels are often incorrect. There are ways to help, some being above.

I’ve been taking it for quite a long time because prior to coming down with Covid/long Covid I was exposed to mold and that’s when I began my MCAS so I’m contemplating changing over to Claritin. Im 29 and I have had issues initially in 2020 from covid that lasted till about july, shortness of breath was one of the symptoms. It got better but in flares and periods I get fatigued for months. Right now I have been fatigued for 2 months. Before that I felt pretty good and could exercise. I might have overdone myself though. Bloodwork and lung function havent shown any results for me. The disease is weird but the only thing that really helped me is rest and a long time, at least for now since have no real idea of a quick cure. Sure it sucks being sick for a long time especially that age, but what can we do other than to persevere and keep a positive outlook? Try to do the things that you think will be benefical for your recovery (healthy diet for example) and at least you can say that you are trying. I know its very tough, but so is life on earth.

As someone who has had long covid and recovered and then had the misfortune of getting it again, this dialogue is spot on. Once I knew I had it a 2nd time, I thought I could cheat my way through phase one and two. It does not work that way. The advice of listening to your body and resting when you need to is exactly what is needed, unfortunately the expectations of life don't work that way. Just know that it will pass and it's amazing how good regular health feels when you have it.

I've lived with severe insomnia since childhood so I sleep when I can, and use a blackout mask and quiet audiobooks when I can't. I partially agree with you on support groups. Some can be pity parties, others can be very uplifting and empowering. It depends on the group and how it's moderated. And it's true that support groups aren't for everyone, and that's okay too. Everyone's recovery is a unique process. I appreciate your video.

2.5 years in, I’ve been in phase 1 for most of the time. I’ve had moments where I feel like I’m in phase two for a few weeks and this last time it was a month. Everytime I get set back it’s because of some cold or bug. When I first got sick it took me 4 months to get to phase two for about a week or so and got the flu it set me back. Last year I was in phase two for like two weeks, got a cold from my kid and it set me back. These last holidays I was in phase two from November to January and I got a stomache bug and kidney stone back to back it set me back on a HORRIBLE relapse.

If you feel overwhelmed, you can add 5-10mins of parasympathetic breathing to relax. Breath in 4 seconds, hold for 8 and release for 7 and just do as much as you can. I do it multiple times a day, specially after pushing myself. Teaching the body to relax after stressful events helps calm your body down quicker. Also recommend - nidra yoga or nsdr meditation. Im a paramedic that got COVID 3x. It was after my last bout that the symptoms started. First for me was mood and cognitive changes. I've been hospitalized twice for psych symptoms that were not normal for me. I am very self aware of my dx disorders. I know how my cycles behave, I learned to control panic, in the past decade I have never had a public panic attack. Im still convincing my doc that this is not a manic episode, despite what it appears. Then the weird stuff started. Like asymptomatic SVT, my watch alerted me to my heartrate being 192. I restarted my watch because I did not believe it. I will say, having half a lifetime of a couple mental disorders has prepared me to convince a doctor that I have an invisible illness, while being ill and not knowing what the hell is going on and feeling like every medical professionals gaslighting you.
